hi guys,

any of you using the VSS3 for the powercore? it is 50% off as christmas discount now, so i was thinking about buying it (if i can get the money together, but thats a different story)

so how are your opinions about it, also compared to native reverbs?

Did you try the demo ? It sounds great but I wonder too how it compares to the top native reverbs like altiverb. Did you try the fabrik-r powercore plugin ?

well i tried the demo and i like the sound..

but from my experience you need time to figure out the real qualities of a reverb..

thats why i am asking for some input from the pros here

have“t tried the fabrik-r.. though.. it“s worth it?

cheers,
tim

when i compared the classic verb of tc with several native ones then tc wins.

maybe the question is more: does the vss3 bring much more then the classic verb that you already have in your poco.

i dont know the answer yet since my vss3 demo crashes all the time, so i am also interested in others opinions, because i am also considering to buy the vss3 for half money now.

To me the Vss3 is not in the same league as any other native reverb I ever had the displeasure to test. the Vss3 is not like your average plugin reverb its got that high end sound. Plus you can get all the presets from the tc m3000 reverb unit. they are very good and useful. The vss3 is simply the algorithm of the original 3000 unit. Now its one of the algorythm of the 6000 along with vss4 ect...
Its the best plugin there is so if you want plugin flexibility and that sound the choice is simple.

Now if you got money you can go hardware... there is even better stuff outhere but its very pricey, and its not as flexible.

Now to go back to the vss3 itself. its very tweable so you can pretty much design the reverb, The early reflection are excellent. You also have modulation and that is a very nice feature. I think its very cheap the giving the fact that you can run as many iinstances as you card can handle. You won't use so many for sure but it tells you how flexible that thing is.

so i got the vss3for christmas and i must say it is hot!
i like its sound what i knew from the demo. but the real benefit besides its lush sound is the ability to place your elements in the mix.. its just incredible

i have to say i totally like reverbs. i love them. deeeeep sounds are for me. and this is one of the best buys for my "sound" so far!
