1. is it good as a midi controller? What are the possitives and negatives?

2. good for leads, basses, and/or noises?

3. should i save my money and invest in something else or do you think i will stick with my microkorg for a long time?

4. any additional opinions or comments?

From what I understand, the Mirco Korg has the same sound engine as the MS2000 so it should have some very nice sounds. On the other hand, it is mainly a preset box with a few parameters that you can change so you might feel limited by that.

1. Yes, at least, I find it quite handy... played 2 sets with it using it for midi control only
2. best for leads imo. Nice unison detune function. Some fat sounds, especially for its price.
3. Depends how much money you have. I use mine for about 1.5-2 years now and I'm upto something new. But I would never sell it...
4. a disadvantage: distortion is on/of: no values, What I especially like is the delay for some reason. Another disadvantage: when you layer a sound (2 timbres) you can't copy the value of your first timbre to the 2nd (or I am just too dumb to see how )

presetbox? depends on how you use it. presets suck big time, never used one of them. It LOOKS like a presetbox bevcause of the names of the banks (trance, techno/house, d'n'b etc...) Nevermind the presets
