Openairs in denmark

hi,
pls tell me what's going on in denmark this summer? As it is not so far from germany i'm thinking of going to denmark to party, or maybe south of sweden, who knows...just need to know where are the parties and some infos about it (websites?)...and generally how is it with the police?

There was a quite big festival in Denmark a few years ago. The first couple of years it was called Mushiefield, and in 2001 it changed name to Camp Electric.
That was the last year it went through. There was talk about a Camp Electric last year, but it never happened. Dunno about this year - haven't heard anything yet.
There aren't many openair parties in Denmark, but some small secret ones during the summer. The most frequently updated partylist in Denmark can be found at www.trancetunnel.dk.

as for outdoor parties i can heartily recommend visiting aarhus. unfortunately outdoor parties are for the most part kept secret with no promotion but word of mouth usually.so one definately needs to be in contact with someone there. as for the capitol area not much is usually going on outdoorwise. it seems that most events even during the summer takes place indoor in and around the capitol area, in fact i only know of one outdoor over there last summer but i could be wrong.
the reason for the secrecy is the fact that these parties are almost always held on government land so if the police do show up= no more party  but still the police here is just about the most civil i have encountered. they have never searched or in any way harrassed the party people at parties i´ve been to and even though weed is still illegal here, at least the aarhus cops don´t bother with that. i dunno about any dates yet as parties can be arranged with less than 8 hours notice but pm me for details if ya want

monno: There is some parties around Copenhagen. A location known to many partypeople is "giftgrunden", that is often used for small afterparties after the big parties in Vega, Amager Bio etc.
I agree about the police by the way. Sure, you encounter some morons, but overall it could be a lot worse.

thanx a lot for your replies! i see we are really lucky here to have so many parties in the hamburg-berlin area...i'm sure to go to copenhagen during summertime, so i'm gonna ask you again for that festival in copenhagen.

As for Sweden, it's pretty much the same as with Denmark. The outdoorparties are kept secret as usual, but the cops in Sweden, compared to Denmark, is very harsh and unpolite. They are not afraid of using violence as a weapon, nor politics or whatever they can make up to bring you problems.
Just keep in mind to dance with the right spirit when you're in Sweden, mmkay? |
