Can not get Premiere Elements to recognize the XAVC raw files ? The easy workaround is to transcode XAVC footage to MPEG-2 for Premiere Elements.

Transcode XAVC to MPEG-2 for editing in Adobe Premiere Elements
Step 1: Add source videos > Install the program on PC and run it. Drag the XAVC files to the software. Or you can also click "Add" button on the top of the main interface to import video to the program.
Step 2: Choose output format > Click "Format" pull down list to select Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas> MPEG-2(*.mpg) as the best video format for Premiere Elements.
Tip: Click the "Settings" icon and you will go into a new interface named "Profile Settings". You can adjust codec, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel in the interface according to your needs and optimize the output file quality.
Step 3: Start XAVC conversion > Click "Convert" to start converting XAVC to MPG for Premiere Elements. After conversion, you can play or edit XAVC clips in Adobe Premiere Elements 10/11/12/13/14 without problem.
