I hereby wish to express my sadness that the Colin OOOD appreciation thread was locked. Although I am merely a music-maker, and have not done as much for the forum as the moderating team and site developers (who I thank from the bottom of my heart for their time, effort and dedication to the cause, in memory of my own 5-year stint as moderator on Psymusic.co.uk), I have nonetheless contributed my own blood, sweat and tears to this community over the last seven or eight years in the form of helping people with production problems, mastering the Isratrance 10-year anniversary CD for free as well as donating music towards it, inventing the site's motto and other less tangible things.
The Appreciation thread was a place where my small contributions could be talked about (and joked about, because that's what I'm like), without spilling over into other areas of the forum, and it is a shame it was closed. The Artists and DJs section says: "This section is intended for exchange of info about active (and not active anymore) DJ's and artists." and that is what that thread was about - my contributions to the forum and the wider scene.
I'm very grateful to Disco Hooligans for starting the thread, and to everyone who posted on it. I found it very moving. It made my efforts to help people here, and write the best music I can, seem worthwhile. I have only ever wanted the respect of my peers, and I am sad that the moderating team choses to stop me from receiving this.
