Online radio recording... is it possible?

Hi everybody!
I have a question: let's say i'm listening to an online radio (philosomatica/goablaze/whatever), is it possible to record it to my computer? is there a program that i can start and stop the recording whenever i want to? |

Yes, you can do that easily, but first you have to make sure that your sound card is fully duplex mode.
Download an average recording program, I recommend you of sound forge, and when you wanna record check the StereoMixer on the recording on the Volume Control, once you've set this up play the radio, and press record on Sound Forge. |

medirium, i tried that link and downloaded the program, but it seems that it's a trial version and it doesn't let me record more that 20 seconds.
do you have a crack for that?

U can simply use winamps DISK-WRITER plugin
You won't hear what you record but it's pretty simple :) |

u click on the PLUGINS tab in the options.
u chose: OUTPUT plugin, then u chose DISK-WRITER
U click on config to set the settings u want and then u click play, it asks u where to write it too and u chose the dir then enter, and it starts recording into WAV, just LAME it later =]

hmm... well this diskwriter is quite heavy on the system, so if u don't have loads of mem and shit u can't actually do anything else beside wtch the pretty status icon move to the right side =]
go back into options and chose output plugins: DirectSound output.
And there ya go. |

10x man... i really got stuck here and i didn't know how to change it back (i know, i know, i'm stupid and i don't know shit about computers), do you know any other program that i can both listen and record at the same time? (i need it for philosomatica... you know:)) |
