Cheers guys..

Got another question. Im looking for releases such as Ticon Zero Six After and Protocultures Refractions and everywhere I search, they are out of stock.

Will they always be out of stock? Do you request them and wait a few months? Are once they are sold out, they are never made again?

im for buyng the music , but its not in any case mp3 or flac or any compressed or not so compressed

music shud be played at a high quality equipment likce amplifiers , cd pleyers , good acustics , these that suits to and fits to the hi fi term

the best way is to get original cds since even wave burn onto a good blak cd is pretty much poor in sound quality

on the other hand , music shudnt cost much ,l ook at the pop crap american artits , they are sellin cds for about 10 bucks and thats enugh for them to buy a million bucks yacht , lamborghini or ferrari , luxury appartments and all that stuff

we offering good stuff at good price , its not hard for ya pocket and this way u will support the scene

sorry but psybuy do not have all the catalog from labels ...

i just try :
parvati rec,, nothing (ridiculus)
peak rec , 3 cd last from 2007 (ridiculus)
electrik dream 2 cd , last from 2007 (ridiculus)
interchill rec 3 cd, last from 2007 (ridiculus)
ultimae 1 cd, (very nice joke)
aleph zero 1cd ,
glowing flame 3cds,,
and many more for sure...

look like this shop have issues with arabesque distrib and others labels...

if you whant buy fresh releases, i dont recomend psybuy

also psyshop, not good if the release is older than 3 month, you have a good chance to not find it there,

i must repeat myself but the only shop who is open to all labels and sell all cds who are not out of print is http://www.beatspace.com

yup agree , PSYBUY doesn have any of albums / compilations , its simply impossible since there are lots of psy labels from all other the worlds

but this shud not be the only reason to ignore PSYBUY or psyshop as well           " And as the gods have given us , so we return the gift " - Bill Cosmosis " Gift of the Gods "

Wasn't entirely sure where to put this but I think it fits here.

First a confession; Ive been a total scab when it comes to psytrance. When people say, "P2P sharing is killing the music industry", im the guy your talking about. Nearly my entire "collection" is composed of illegal downloads.

Go ahead and flame me for this if you want but Im not happy with this myself. I know how much time and effort goes into this stuff (ive got a mate whos into production, hes nothing special by any means, but even with him I can see just how much shit goes into it) that record labels are downsizing/going under and that ive recieved countless hours of entertainment for free.

Ive tried to rationalise it to myself by saying that im in Australia and CD's are just so hard to come by but in the day and age thats not an acceptable excuse (since stuff can be shipped anywhere for cheap.) That, and im a piss-poor student.

So, basically im gonna set things straight (sort of) by going back and purchasing the albums that ive come particularly cherish. First cabs off the rank is stuff from Twisted - A couple of Hallucinogen and Shpongles, maybe an OTT and YB. I know where to get this - straight off the Twisted website.

So my question is where to go from here.

Whats the best place to buy online? Is there any difference between online shops in terms of what the artists/labels recieve back? Do any other labels sell their stuff online like twisted does? Is there anything with particularly cheaper prices?

Don't come at me with any shit in regards to me being a pirate. I don't really care. Ive realised ive been a douche and moved on. Plus, i really would never have heard a single psytrance song if it werent for downloads. Ive sampled and now im buying what I want.

G'day champ

I"m from Oz as well, currently in the ACT but moving back to Melbourne in the next 3-4 months.

Have been buying my cd's online since 1998.

For orders of 4 or more cd's go to Saikosounds as they will courier them and it works out quite a good price.

I find though that buying via airmail take at least 2 working weeks to arrive, if that.

If you buy less than 4 cd's at once I'd go for Psyshop as the cd's generally make it via airmail within 7 days including weekends.

I also have abunch of second hand good-excellent psybient and trance cd's I'm looking to sell for between $5-10AU per cd so pm if you wanna see the list.

I'm also looking at eventually running an Oz based online cd store for heavy metal and psy trance/chill out in thenext 12 months so will keep you in mind when that starts up as well, just need to work out costings etc. with the oerson investing in it.

Cheers

Since you 're from down under, logically is to buy from saikosounds as they are nearest shop for you and the shipping cost should be the lowest. Also they have a back catalogue, updated frequently so you might consider this. As for the europe, beatspace from Italy is great, with the excellent customer service and low shipping cost, maybe you should check it out.

i'm a big consumer of music
in the last 20 years i buy thousen of titles..

what i hate more when i go in a shop is the lack of choice,

if i need to start making special connections in my brain for see where i can get what, not good,
beatspace is for sure the place where you can go and find all most everything is released and not out-of-print ...
also, beatspace sell to eastern countries, not the same case for psyshop for example,

i dont know about saiko, they sell to macedonia for example ?

Totally agree. Psyshop doesn't deliver for example to Serbia, and I had no problems with beatspace, some UK on line shops, and also with former trance-shop from Germany.

It is completely identical to the original CD in every way, if the person who creates the .wav and burns the CD knows what they are doing. Any difference in sound quality you think you hear is in your head.

Now, burned CDs do not last long as pressed CDs but when they are brand new they sound completely identical

Saikosounds to Australia where the OP is from is good for large orders of 4 or more CDs couriered by Fedex.

Not good for small purchases as airmail from Hong Kong can take 2 weeks or more.

For small orders via airmail Psyshop is good as it arrives within a week.

Discogs can also be good, as well as Amazon.

Direct from the label is also an option BUT European labels are $$ due to the value of the Australian dollar against the euro n' GB pound.

I'd love to preorder the new shpongle cd n' DVD direct from Twisted but the conversion is insane compared to buying from Saikosounds or Psyshop!!

And do buy your music, I find it sounds much better that way           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

i normally use saikosounds/psyshop - haven't had any problems so far with ordering to india or the u.s.

i had a question - more about buying digital downloads - i wanted to know whats the best website to buy music from which ensures the artist gets his fair share as quickly as possible. i know getting in touch with the artist directly would be the best way to do this, but i have an ever growing list of tracks id like to purchase as .wavs and since most acts are touring all over the world you don't always get a reply

also not all labels have online stores so ... any suggestions?

since most labels seem to promote releases (especially the recent string of online eps) through beatspace, im tempted to buy tracks from there but wasnt sure if thats the best store with regards to labels and artists getting the best deal

so far iv used juno downloads, and cytopia           www.soundcloud.com/ishikawa
