I need some links of Online DJ stores... Preferably stores with cheap prices, and shipping to Israel... thanx
oh, and a question: If i purchase some gear, and have it shipped to Israel, would i have to pay customs tax (Meches), on the item? if so, is the tax high?

tax system in Israel wants like 70% extra on pro audio
there is some catch with 250$ and lower prices
i think no tax on them or the tax is reduced to 18% only
check that
best way is to send email to tax office with link to a product u want to bring and ask how much tax they'll charge
however thats not includes on sound cards

by the way, mixers have only 17% tax on them, but thats why its cheaper and more safe to buy here.
in my opinion, if your flying yourself abroad -buy it directly there, buying on the net is not worth it.
first of all there is the shipment - mucho mucho expensive.
then theres the custom, then theres the v.a.t. (not the same - one is "meches" the other is "ma'am"), then ofcourse if its stopped in the custom you have to pay them for the place your stuff took from their shelf (i think of it as rent).
and then there is the little thingy about knowing who you bought it from, this part also includes the warrenty for the product.
if you buy in israel, you can take it back to the store. if you bought it abroad, you will have to ship it directly to the company.
all included, its not cheaper to buy on the net, it is cheaper to buy it actually abroad and smuggle it in (unless you get cought). |
