Hi guys,
In winch case can a track be released in more than one album or compilation?

I have different labels interessted in the same tracks and was wondering if I can send the same track to diferent V.A.'s.

Thanks in advance.

When you sell or give a track to a label it becomes theirs, so you can't exactly sell it to 2 labels. I don't think the label owners would appreciate having the track they paid for also being released on another label. You should ask them.

I've seen the same track released on multiple comps before, but those were all on the same label (one that has shady practices anyway).

Most v/a contracts include the word exclusive a couple of times

why would you want to anyway? why not give a different track, then you'll have 2 tracks released           http://www.catawampus-records.co.uk/Catawampus_Records/Skyhighatrist.html

True .

When you sell a track to a label they send you a contract for 5 years for 1 specific track in a V/A Then you can't sell it or send it or give to anyone , They can sued you for that . But at the same time maybe theres other labels with an other inside rules , You know .. World is big and we are different peoples .
