Talpa. Althou the mastering of the debut was pure crap the music in itself was rather good. But what happened since then? Not much if anything..

Talpa put out quite a few tracks on various compilations on Sundance recs, including one about a month ago on Vibraspirit 11 - great track, btw. I heard he was in the army service and just got out, so he's working on new stuff and playing live gigs.
  ..it's just another party.. |

Slinky Wizard were the ones i could never found a full lenght CD did they actually put it out?.in the late ninneties. at the same time i wouldn't classified them like a one hit wonders they didn't seem like they were for some reason they were everywhere but just as single songs o songs for compilations released by distance-blue room-dragon fly etc etc....
even paul oakenfold spun slinky wizard.

This is no one hit wonder. Just another side projrct of Simon Posford...
|
|
You got to get your "facts" straight. Simon had nothing to do with Slinky Wizard. It was a project with George Barker, Dominic Lamb as the core. The 2 owners of Flying Rhino Records. And ocasionally they invited guest artists to participate such as Dick Trevor from The Green Nuns of The Revolution and Cash.
Slinky was never a One Hit off... They had many releases with many Dancefloor hits. |

Yes this is obviously also about personal taste..
SO here goes one more:
Sub6.. before the album they had some decent tunes, especially my personal favourite - program flies - however the album did absolutely nothing for me nor did anything they released afterwards..

No a " "One hit wonder" has got nothing to do with taste.
It's a band or artists that had one BIG hit and sold lots and lots of that Hit and then eighter flopped with the next or simply never made a new track.
You got to get your terms right here traveller and the rest who still dont get the topic.
As I can see the name of this topic is "One Hit Wonders?" and not
"I dont like these artists"

Well then there are no one hit wonders in our scene cos no one here sells a lot. Anyways if I could I would modify the title a little just so you could get on with your life. It's okay to critisize your music too you know.
So the new title from here on:
One hit wonders and other artists that managed to do it well for a few times but then went downhill (in your opinion ofcourse).

Exactly my point. I have a hard time finding any "one Hit wonders" in our scene.

Sure it's fine to critisise my music if you do it fair and right. I got no problem with that and it's fine with me if you dont like my music. But to call me a "one hit wonder" is not fair and certantly not correct. It's just nonsense and you know that traveller.

It's too early for a piss fight.
Sorry Talpa, EP, Moksha, PROJECT-N FEAT. DJ SHAMANE & SUB6
Like EP said, it's nonsense so don't take it seriously. Not returning to this topic any longer.

Why should we use the IIMS system? Isen't it allowed to debate a topic here unless it's about more "popular" topics?
I do not see anyone fighting here. |
