Hey, I guess most of the posts here aren't on trance philosophy from a Jewish perspective, but maybe someone will appreciate this article I wrote on that subject which recently appeared in a newspapaper. Have a great year full of inspiration and blessing!
not sure if it should go here or in "Israel", so I guess I'll duplicate it there  I don't have access to the internet so much lately so hit me up on email if you have questions/feedback. Peace!

On unity, trance, and Israel

One of the fundamental tenets of Judaism is that God is absolutely unique. Using words to convey the essence of God is impossible because any description is necessarily a limitation, and even nonverbal thought cannot grasp that which is absolutely transcendent. For example, His unity is not like the unity of the human circulatory system nor is it similar to a single blood cell unit.
However, manifestations of unity are expressed by God in our world and can therefore teach us how to live in peace with ourselves, our nation, our world, and God. Furthermore, these four levels are intimately linked and therefore inner peace has a direct effect on global consciousness.
I will attempt to illuminate the above concept through metaphor and explanation, starting with a story from my own life. It begins at a Trance/Nature party in the Israeli desert on Erev Shabbat of Fall '99. At a naive first glance, the event was perfect. A true autonomy where communal will reflects individual desires. Jews and Arabs dancing together and exchanging kind words. The most sophisticated advances in Digital Signal Processing being used purely to get the crowd dancing. Almost perfect.
What then, you may ask, went wrong? What would lead me back to Israel 5 years later to sanctify our land by observing our sacred Torah? The answer is incredibly simple. The beauty of the party is in people truly coming together in unity, yet completely maintaining their individuality. Sometimes we lack the courage and insight to ask what our soul is and how we can express it in this world. For a long time, I was afraid to incorporate the essential part of my answer.
The only problem with this party was that my driving there was a violation of the holy Shabbat laws, and this made my soul uncomfortable.
These four levels of unity mentioned above can be seen in other examples as well. Keep in mind that all of these examples apply superficially to the specific level, but a deeper reading shows that they are all analogies for each other.
On the individual level we can see this concept in biology. In order for an individual person to survive, they must have a unified circulatory system. For the circulatory system to function properly, the heart must maintain its rhythm and identity as must the other differentiated components.
On the national level, survival depends on the proper training of judges, engineers, farmers, etc. Equally as critical is the proper interaction between them.
On the global level, the survival of Earth is determined by the interactions of various nations. Our nation, Israel, has known its purpose for thousands of years. Through keeping the Torah sacred by instituting the Torah law in our borders, we will be able to live beside our neighbors with mutual respect and then work together to make Earth a sacred space.
With our relationship to God, Who encompasses and permeates all reality, the fact that we exist is incredibly mysterious and even more paradoxical is that the more we become aware of this, the stronger our relationship to God becomes. By meditating on the essence and relationships found in and around each of us, we become more aware of how space, time, and spirit relate to God. We should all be blessed to have a relationship with God that is filled with peace, love, unity, and respect.

i can say you tqalking most shit i ever heard here and i don't like you because i'm atheist (jew) ..... but you should stop using drugs because in the end your friday party will be with no E' and Psy but with Wine , Rabe and holy songs .......

The most amazing thing about the trance party to me is that it can enable us to connect to a higher spiritual dimension through ego-nullification, music, and dance. Of course, the deco and people are often awesome as well . When I get a car I'd love to attend more parties. Yes, Friday nights will, for me, be spent partying with no psy or E but with wine and holy songs. I think there is some deep philosophy and spirituality at the core of any good trance party. I don't think my perception of it is shit, but you are entitled to your opinion. You're specific points were pretty off topic, you can email me privately if you are interested in a proof that Atheists don't exist (btw, a more honest reply would be that you are struggling to understand what your definition of "God", "The Creator", "Mother Earth", "Spiritual Source" or any other term that works for you, is., but again, this is off-topic here and I'd rather take those discussions to email).

hehehehe i think you should travel mate and understand more how to talk to people and how to have a great life! God is you and you are God and God is also nature and trance! even though you say you do not beleive! It's the simple truth!

Bye the way great right up man i absolutely agree that Trance is Holy music that is we cannot stop listening to it! Cannot stop listening to God! It's an expression of God through the human being!

PHA ..... my post was offtopic and agressive coz yesterday i had a bad day , sorry .....
religion is community , psytrance is community that's how they similar ....
i can make same compare as you did to green organizations , football fans , retired workers and other intresting communities ....
God .... i don't know what it has to do with psy and music at all ..... I do believe in God but i do not believe in religion .... you will ask why ?
because religion is uniting ... which means same rules , same belief which can be dangerous sometimes as i see now Islam Terror and Cross Travels + Inquisition in the past .... so religion is community and every community have it's anarchists when religion is stronger their connection into religious , anarchists , mind washed community ....
so i do affraid of religious ppl ..... some of them have power to mind wash and use religion as their unity for achiving their personal needs
Ganjagil ... i don't think i need to travel to learn how to talk to ppl (there are much more easiest ways).... i know i'm very agressive here (in life "bit" different) .....
but it doesn't change the fact that to call to a trance , God's music is ... better i won't say what i realy think these ppl are ....

GOD is choice.. we are just the consequences of these choices.. God can also be considerd US, because in one's life, we make choices all the time.. we chose to wake up in the morning, to listen to what you like in the bus, to take shower or not, to believe what you feel is right or moral.. All these choices don't really matter in the end, because we will end up dead.. Maybe after death, we will understand more about life.. until then, don't try and force feed your views or beliefs, because no one knows' who is right or wrong.. and its not even based on right or wrong. its based on YOU.. and thats another reason why WE are GOD.. we create our world.. through choice once again...
It was a nice little read, however i 'dont agree with all that you said, but at least your not killing people..
