Been on Logic since version 4 on the old PC. Now I'm on Logic 8, not sure when and if I am going to get version 9. That flex tool (amongst other things) is nice, but I can live without it.

I think the flex tool is really handy. I have currently got logic9 and use the flex tool really only for setting drum loops to tempo or totally destroying vocals, it's nice how there are several different forms of Flex mode but really every other app had this feature available.
They all call it something different, most apps seem to call it elastic mode. To be honest I think it's more based for music and arrangements of an acoustic nature. One problem you would have is that you should watch the audio bin as it can create allot of copies/edits of the original audio material, hence creating several audio files and taking up valuable real estate on your hard dive.
Also the rearranging to in flex mode is pretty good too.
I think you could get some pretty good glitch sounds out of it.

been on Logic since 3.1, and now on Logic 9. a little bit miffed that the 9.1 update was intel only, but i'll get by...
dont use flex that much.. tried it on a track, but it ended up being a mess, as i was learning as doing it.. definitely powerful, and good if working with audio i.e. remixing
probably dig the varispeed feature the most, to try a song in different tempos to see whats possible
overall i'm used to its workflow, and the parts i was 'used to' found impossible to adapt in Cubase. that being said there are still alot of features in cubase that are really nice for workflow that arent in logic yet, so i'm hoping the next update is really something nice, and not another freaking guitar stomp@box or effect...
Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!

I quite like the guitar amp products, I think there a bit more crisp than NI Guitar Rig, a don't or can't play guitar (yet) but they make formidable allies in dirtying up your sounds. A great thing to do is put through a Amp Designer with a almost dry amp setting with no cabinet/mic so you get a different timbre from you synths. It's great tool for putting a bit of interest in the mix.
