hi guys
sorry if this has been done before but my search didn't find anything.
I really like the look of omnisphere - does anyone use it and what do you think of it?
would it be a good addition to my studio?
I'm running an oldish pc laptop, cubase sx3, i have a range of vsts and a virus indigo and a few other bits of random hardware
cheers & thanks
mark

For me it´s a great synth but forget the idea to run it and get a decent performance on an oldish laptop. It also needs 50 Gb of your laptop hard drive....

omnisphere is huge. a GREAT work done building that piece of software. it has numerous of sounds. to all tastes. i even liked to listen them... alone.
in my production i can't fit somebody else's sounds in my own track.
so i tried it and uninstalled it. i think that its much more cool to synthesize a sound you need now with a synthesizer (doesn't matter hardware or software) then to have all the sounds and sometimes occasionally to try to find the necessary one and paste it to the track

its cool to program patches on. With all the quality sampled sounds from the library used to make the factory patches, and the powerfull synth engine, this thing can be a beast! It has become one of my favorite synths for bass, leads, fx, pads....yeah just about anything
