I heard Omar Faruk Tekbilek's name first in the toires - majmar album, and he did a splendid job according to me. From the review I read from KakoOlalaJwal, he was also involved in the mercan dede project, which I am familiar with.
I say to those who like ethnic music, and those who are open minded for new sounds(his songs contain a lot of Turkish ethnic sounds) I say dont miss this show.

you got it the other way around actually.
He's not involved with them, it's them who are involved with him
Omar Faruk is one of the biggest artists in the world music scnene and apart from releasing around 10 albums that sold millions around the world, has collaborated with a lot of known artists and performs all over the world.
They have remixed 2 tracks from his last album Alif, and all I can say for now, is that you can expect some more very exciting remixes of Omar Faruk in the near future...
