Who of the artists Astral Projection, Electric Universe, Man with no name is the best in...? I select this groups because they play 1 style
Soundquality- Astral projection - Electric Universe - man with no Name
Bassline soundquality- Astral Projection - man with no Name - Electric Universe
emotion- Man with no name- electric Universe - Astral Projection
FX sounds- Man with no name - electric Universe - astral Projection

man what are u talking about ,they all still play ,even now they produce music. even in 100 years in trance they will be legends , you thing because dark psy now is produced ,as fast as it gets ,it will ever compair , those tunes then yous to speak to you, they were hymes, but i know music changes and now you forget those artists, i respect all new artists and some write great music, but you should always respect the rutes of a tree, |

I agree with CRX about astral projection respect to the pioneers but this time I enjoy Electric Univverse more.
But I like man with no name also ok?

If I'm not mistaken, you are asking us to make specific choices between Astral Projection, Electric Universe and Man with no name according to their mastery in soundquality, bassline soundquality, emotion, FX sounds...right??
what's the point of making such a detailed analysis today about the sounds of an oldschool generation??
We do respect all of those artists you mention because they were the pioneeers(just some of them, ok?) of trance but we cannot classify them according to today's reality. Music technology has made such enormous steps forward, and though many of us have kept a place in our hearts for those masters , it is totally unfair to make such criticizing nowdays about the sound quality of the previous decade!!
Not to mention that I find it absurd (and humiliating) to just take an oldschool artist's work and divide it into seperate elements of excellence like this stuff you say (bassline quality, emotion, fx)! Why should we do that anyway???
As a humble listener, when I think of good music, I just take this music as a whole , as a unity of elements combined to produce a pleasant final effect. I cannot say I just like the kick or the bassline or the pads etc. And I cannot classify the artists according to their kicks or basslines or pads etc.
This is the era of music technology evolution, mate. Whoever has the basic and right equipment can produce music.
What makes the difference is the talent, imagination, skills, effort. Most oldschool artists had all of those qualities. |

i said i like them all, but now things hv changed, styles hv evolved, and technology has made progress...
so stop shouting please...
here our friend Polyester Corespun couldnt make the point clearer i'm sure...
so look to his words and think again of what u said according to this fucked up topic mentionning only some of the pionneers of this scene...

Well, there are a lot of old school (as you call it) producers that deserve different kind of honours!
TIP - for bringing us one of the first "psy-ambient" albums, the fantastic "Mystical Experiences".
Juno Reactor - for ReInventing themselves in every new album they did and bringing new standards in the electronic music.
Simon P. - In every project he was in, there was that twisted touch that made the releases unique (in my opinion, not anymore).
Saafi Brothers - for giving us some "cosmic ambient/electro experiences" and their unique sound manipulation.
Boris Blenn - and especially his project "Paradise Connection" for the exceptional trancy/ambient production.
Etnica/Pleiadians - for their "goa" masterpieces.
Medicine Drum - For the Fusion of the latest cutting edge styles of progressive electronic music with foundations of deep tribal rhythms and live vocals.
Transwave - for their dymanic basslines and their mastering perfection
Orichalcum - for setting up a "new" approach of the "psy-trance"
X-Dream - with juno reactor, they ReInvent themselves several times, and brought us new soundscapes
Astral Projection - for thei happy/uplifting music that made us dance on every beach
Plus...Plus....Plus....
there are several other artists that offered really much in this scene....
