hi guys,
this is one of the usual 'pls recommend me something like this...' calls
lately if i am listening to psy i listen to older stuff which was done around 2000-2002. to name some compilations i like Sunset Boulevard [Sunset Recordings] or Filtered Beats [Flow Records]... tunes like paste-sterilizer, magus-oxymorous, prisoners of the sun-klangwelt, jarques gelee-geisterfahrer, trancefeld-delirium etc.
any ideas on similar stuff like this?
thanks in advance ;-) |

first Son Kite album minimal masterpiece
there was so much minimal in 99-01 that you just need to look at release dates. Not that all of it was good of course, but Mantik pretty much covered all the good stuff.
I don't know if early plastik park was mentioned....

i listened to Bug by M.O.S. and that isnt exactly the sound i was looking for. its more into psy goa tho you can hear slight progression in sound forward to what its called progressive today ...btw is it any different in the next album, called Drive i thik.
Kitnam.
what should i check from Plusquam? i checked their web ( http://www.plusquam-records.net ) and the last release in discography there is from 2003 tho i guess they started earlier.
Vibrasphere, Ticon, Beat Bizzare... <3<3<3 all their early stuff.
thanks guys for all the info... will check what i get my ears on |

i was digging out older tunes to fit newer ones, recently for a little minimal prog mish mash and came out with some older gems (mostly from 2003... so i guess is not that old... but life moves pretty fast in this scene, i suppose). Traktor Schalllabor, older iboga, Creamcrop, Tatsu, Innersound are worth a peak in discogs imo
i ended up with this at the end :

@hermit: about plusquam, their first compi, dont remember the name yet.
if you like vibrasphere check out: "noma" and "element". |

munchie.
nice one munchie. thanks
rah.
just listening to the mix... btw whats the tune at cca 39min? liking that one alot.
kitnam.
checked the discogs and it should be some compil called Abstractions ( http://www.discogs.com/label/Plusquam+Records )
Noma and Element are also nice... was a lot into Navigator back in days.
Btw I gave a listen to the Spirallianz album and its really 'blasting' .deep, minimal, groovy with sugestive rhytms...
here is some other minimal/progressive stuff:
Zerotonine - Cyngus Loop
Tarsis - G-Lock
P.O.T.S. - Are You Scientific Enough
Atmos - Headcleaner
Psychonaut - Anthagonistic Pathways

Yea dude "Bug" by M.O.S has definetly a goa sound to it, check out the later albums Drive and Meter, its definetly different and could be more like the stuff your looking for. Oh and check out Nerve.
Great recommendations here, I'll add:
V.A - Footprints (Digital Structures)
V.A - Monarchie II (ZMA)
V.A - New Frontiers & Dig It (U.S.T.A)
V.A - One Point Perspective (Manta rec)
Haldolium - H20
