In the Eazy-E song creep'n'crawl there is a kind of...how to describe it...it is this really tight "er er er er" throughout the whole song. It comes in groups of four.
Anyway, take a listen and I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about. So anyway, anyone got ideas about how to replicate this? A few months ago I managed something similar(turned into a not bad track which i might be uploading soon). But I can't seem to give it that same tight feel.
Here is the song:
So any kind of ideas would be great! If you aren't sure you know I still wanna hear what you think,we can have a brainstorm!

All I can her is two detuned saws by an octave (and a few cents), a steep LPF, with the cut off down low and very subtle (if any) envelope modulation on the filter's cut-off frequency.
The er er er er bit you are talking about is not part of the bass patch, does not sound like it is anyway.

Yeah, it isn't really bass, I didn't know what to call it. If you eq the song right though it carries a real tight thud if you have a good sub.
One of the reasons I want to replicate it accurately is to give it more bass (and tweak a few other things), I just think it has potential to sound really cool.

I have tried what you mentioned and, like I said, I have come close already. But there is just some part of it I can't quite get to sound the same. I think I should try using different envelope slopes, I think that might be the key.

I have been thinking and chances arn't it doesn't involve very much elborate synthesizer considering it is an old rap song. It is probably just an edited sample, perhaps even a distorted drum kick or something to that effect.

i would try a rimshot sample from an 808 or 909 and maybe pitch it up a little bit...
