Right then, last tune for 2010 and a new project that is something a bit different to the Disco Hooligans stuff.
Jordan is not involved in this one, instead my mate Panos is.

Here's the test mix.

Feedback welcome, you are allowed to use words like shit, crap, boring, and generally rip the tune a new asshole

Have fun tonight whatever it is you're doing and hope the new year finds you all well and happy.

Peace out.

Very nice track but i miss some passion in , More atmos , More changes at the hh loops
and more action in and deepness . Bring the bass & kik be more out and here , Let them lead the track .

Cheers ..

yes i agree with Cardinals, make the kick and bass pump a bit more.

also some more reversed percs and sounds could benifit going all over the place to add some more chaos... sweeeps here and there..
and do get a real kick roll somewhere, and release all the energy!

Its great track! keep at it and make it open up a bit more.... if you dont have another track in your set that you think would be nice to mix into to create this kind of release... it all about the bigger picture

Pump as in louder? hmmm...the bass from the kick and bass combo is thumping out of my Mackies HR824s (and Alesis M1 mk2 actives) in my studio...
The top end and percs are not wild, true that. Kept them a bit more conventional and did some synth/trick work.
As for more chaos, its not our thing and kick rolls I despise with a passion as I think they are cheesy and annoying as shit (as are snare rolls).

Will take the more twisted percs and top end work, into consideration for this tune we are currently working on.

Could use a tad more pressure on the bass, the kick thumps nicely tho, maybe just the bass a bit louder or more present in the mix? Definitely more hh variation needed, maybe some evolving atmospheres too.
Other than that, I very much like this tune! Good opener and sweet drive.

right then, test mix 1.2.
kick 0.5 dB up, bassline 1dB up and slightly harder on the sidechain and compression to make it pump more.

Peace out.

There's 0 resonance on the bass. I never put any resonance when making bass patches for them classic 16th saw trance basslines.

Peace out.
