Probably have stuck with acid techno & Dutch gabba.
I was heavily into those sounds when my sister came back from years in Goa with a bunch of DAT tapes that transformed my ideas of music.
While I enjoy much of the modern forest/glitch & neo goa nothing to this day in any musical genre touches my heart & soul like the music this scene made from the late 80's until around 2002.
There just isn't the same kind of productive urge to make original & experimental psychedelic music any more, it's really getting to the point where I'm finding stuff like Digweed's Bedrock Records, Cocoon & Natura Sonoris more psychedic and emotional.

Techno, house...my life would have been very different though...had I not gone to a forest goa trance party 19 years ago and had my first encounter with El Cid.
That changed my life for ever.
