Letīs say I have a hit sample like a crash. And I want to make a delay reverse crash, wich is longer than the crash itself.

Is there any way to use the offline process to make this? Cause if I aplly the delay to the crash(so I only need to reverse it after), the delay will end at the end of the sample...

Also Iīd like to apply some reverb, but I canīt in most of the cases that I want to hear the reverb tail.           LOADING...

This i also wonder...

as a little work around for not knowing the cubase audio editor enough i use to take the sample to adobe audition, add silence to the sample so the file gets longer, and then add the delay offline....
though i think it might work to just choose the option "continue delay after selection" cause in this case its even better to add the delay from audition then to do it in cubase...

it would be good to know how this works in cubase audio editor and how i can make samples longer by adding silence...
there should be some simple solution i hope

just recently figured this one out myself

when you have chosen a plugin to be applied to an audio sample, you get the plugin window and at the bottom of it there is a "MORE" button. Click that - and tick "TAIL" (I think thats what its called). Set the length of your tail here and your good to go.

This troubles me to... adding another audio box and gluing them together doesn't work.

I usually just end up selecting the length I want as the loop length, inserting an effect on the channel and bouncing it soloed, but I know that's not what you're asking.

Sigh..... oh, Colin? It's us again...

There is another option to do that. For example crash, you insert VST delay to some slot, define feedback and export it with effect on it, so there is even no offline process data saved. Other option is to use sends if you want to modify an effect in future, delays are not that heavy to CPU so if you insert one delay at send and control amount of it's feedback by mixing send then it should be that heavy.

With keyboard binds it is quite easy to do, you can even create your own macro for not to deal each time with inserting, exporting and modifying.

@ etnarama

Offline process appears when you right click an audio clip in cubase..It allows you to put effects on your audio samples without using any cpu, handy for those with slow pc's..           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

I'd do it as the Aviad said. You can create another cubase project for the same folder and use it for wrangling samples if you want to be able to edit the fx later on. Or create a temporary vst/audio channel and use that. Then export and click the import to pool option or load the sample back into your sampler or whatever is that you're using.

If you reverse the sample, add a feedback delay and export long enough slice, it should do the trick. Then load the sample back and reverse it again and place to correct position... if this is what you meant? Same thing for vocal samples and long reverb is a great fx too.

Thank u Illusions!!! How can I miss the more button???? lol

In this case I guess thereīs no need for so much work(export and import). Imo offline process is handy for quick fx as I mentioned. For complex fx(like 2 or more fx together) u should do it the old way...

And Surrender... I hope 1000 ms is longre enough for my wishes!           LOADING...
