Alex, welcome back! best always never to say 'never' ;-)
nice to hear what everyone is doing on here. i work as IT Manager for all Asia Pacific sites. although my job title still says 'associate desktop engineer'.. somewhere along the line the responsibility went (way) up, but the pay and other stuff stayed the same. still get to travel a bit which is pretty cool, and the work environment is laid-back. got dreads, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone, even the corporate types

I have two children...a fifteen year old daughter and a five year old son...married, and work as a residential counselor for developmentally disabled adults.
Very interesting to see such varied lifestyles!

well ill give you the truth!
i work on and off with mentally disabled people, before that i used to work with old and sick people at a nursing home. but what i really would like to do is working with research, microorganisms and bacterias and viruses.. but im far from doing that...
currently i moved to another city and have a 3 month old boy who is super cool 
I got my own apartment here so i can work with my music, so im in the work of building my homestudio
Nice to hear what many of you do for a living, many interesting things.. especially the "Rose" Secret Agent! wow

Im not only a secret agent, im so secret even the people i work for doesnt know about me, which means if i do something right i might have done it wrong, but since im always right the thing i did wrong, couldve been right, and wrong which means what i did was right. I love my employer!

so I see lot of people here who do work besides producing.
My question to them is - How do you balance between work and music composing.
I think of composing most of the time even when I am at work and that really effects my performance at work.Is there a way not to think abt producing music when working?
Might be offtopic but please guide:-)

I stay up all night every second night and I have sundays to focus on music making as well. it does affect my performance at work, mainly because I am very sleepy every second morning, but mainly it affects my health as I need like 5 coffees to function and I am not getting as much rest as I would like... but you know, work hard-play harder, when the going gets tough-the tough get going...etc.etc.
I have to make music anyway, even if it means I have to sleep less...its my sanity maintenance. if I don't do it, then i'll go mental, and suffer a lot of anger, depression...basically the shit will hit the fan proper. I've been there and its not a place I wanna be again.
