Please, I have nowhere else to ask this:
I bought a DVDROM yesterday and I want to install it on my computer.
The problem is, my case uses "drive rails" and to remove my previous CDROM I need to open the case from both sides.
However, it seems like my case is screwed only on one side, and the other side is attached with what seems to be small metal circles.

Any idea how I can open the case?

Thanks in advance,
Timmy.

what is Mismara?

And what do you mean by "you can't open it?"
How exactly did they open it at the computer store?

...it s fixed with rivets ( = mismara ?)
...with a driller ( as small as the tiny hole in the center, i would say approx 1 - 1,5 mm diamaeter )
u can take them out...but no way to put it in again naturally, if u haven t the "rivets-mount-device".

seems strange to me, isn t it possible to take out the screws on the side, take off the front-cover and then take out the drive which (could be) holded with some metal-clampers which should be on both sides of the drive ?!
--> push them together and pull out the drive...

....hyvää yatkoa !

...if u choose the driller way (...last one ) take care: at some point it goes faster and when finished, like glue said, there is a part falling of which u ve to get out when done, otherwise it can get in the fan/hd...some day...
and if it isn t aluminium, i would go to a store...too tricky to put off by yourself until u haven t pro-driller...

some stores has tools to open them...it all depends on the tools availabe...like in music, tzhokim...

...sorry, hebrew moment:

Note to all computer shoppers out there -
Make sure the comp doesn't have unopenable parts. Otherwise you won't be able to open it.
