What can be the relationship between this two..

"early poetry was song. The difference between song and speech is a matter of discontiniuties of pitch. In ordinary speech, we are constantly chanching pitch, even in the pronunciation of a single syllable. but in song, the change of pitch is discrete and discontinuous."

the author im refering to right now suggests here that the invention of music may have been as a neural excitant to the hallucinations of gods for decision-making in the absence of consciousness

in other words its just a matter of possession.

Goethe would say...... "The songs made me, not I them"

We do not beleive enough..... so thats why we keep searching for an answer in different ways.......... music.. poetry... and so on....

those are really interesting ideas. it would explain the amazing "communal" feel at parties. ppl are all hearing the same message. and open up the possibility of speaking in music. imagines 5 artists at one party blasting different melodies, basslines etc at eachother at a party. A conversation!
