Just one thing you should maybe think about before sending this into print:

The mix is really top heavy in terms of frequency content, and listening to this in all its 7 minute glory hurts my ears, especially because you like to employ all these screaming leads. Maybe a remaster is in order? Im saying this because I really like your tracks and listened to them repeatedly, and ear-wise it is not a pleasant experience in the long-run.

Still, great tracks!           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

i second that the mix/mastering is on the very bright side of things...

highpassing extensively seems a sound design decision but on top of that the overall frequency balance is not optimal for cranking up the volume.

@previews: nice. the first one stays my fav so far but seems like a solid release.

pretty sure the minimix used unmastered or non final masters, was done a while back when we had the first 4 tracks, 3 dots is mastering as will be on the album, so wondering if the issue is also there or not

Well, like Klippel said, i think its also a sound design thing that I have noticed on your productions Faxi and that I have commented upon in the past, you really like to highpass things. Thats why your mixes are always really bright, clean and shiny, but very top heavy.

However, with your current project, because it is much more "screachy" than the stuff you do for Horns N´Hoofs for example, your style of highpassing things leads to ear pain, especially on regular in-ear headphones like mine or the ones on an iPod. And since most people today listen on these devices, I think you have to take that into account for mastering, because like I said before this music is by its nature full of frequency content in the "ear pain range" and that fact needs to be taken into account.

As to your question, I would take a look also at the original track you posted in this regard, however the ones in the minimix are even more harsh.

But, this is only IMHO, I am by no means an approved authority on mastering and I am quite sensitive to ear pain, maybe others on here see it differently. I hope that helps.

the mini mix is defo worse than the other demos.
however, all of the mixes are ear tiring in the end.

i would really make the master a lot less bright..
you already have a kind of frequency gap due to the mixing, the master now makes this come out even more it seems.           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel
