so if i would set it up on a place where nobody is bothered it would be ok?

given it's not too big of course.

Here's my Ozora 2011 review... I think the new crew could use a feedback and implement relevant improvements

First and foremost.... A big thank you and lots of love to all you! A beautiful Ozora is was

This was my first time and the Ozora experience started off the moment I reached the train station. As I reached the platform, I was greeted by smiling faces. We all instantly connected. Through the 2 Hr journey along the beautiful Hungarian country side, people shared their Ozora tales with me.. I realized that Ozora was truly embraced . I could feel the love flowing. It felt great!

As we walked into the festival site, I had quite a few "wow" moments. The rain had just stopped. The sun was out. This unleashed the beauty of this incredible place. I just couldn't believe my eyes!

As we finished pitching our tent, we were hungry. We headed straight to the main food court/counter. Very good food, excellent value and amazing service. The staff were very patient and courteous. Now that the festival has grown exponential, I think there is a need for two such Ozora food counters. The lines at times were too long. Once the other food counters opened, there was amazing variety. But many people observed that this time around the food (sold by vendors) was expensive compared to the previous editions. Please don't let that happen. Ozora will start loosing out on the value for money front. BTW, I loved the MilkyWay Van. Great croissants.. The fruit stall was great and run by a very nice Hungarian family.

For the next three days, we absolutely loved the party at the Pumpui tent. It such a life saver before the main stage opens. It started off as a small scene, reminiscent of some of the small gathering on the beaches of Goa. And as days went by, it just became bigger and bigger. The vibes here were fantastic. Music for the most part was great. But lot of times we found different genres being played. When the after party started with some hard core dark psy, it would have been nice if the Pumpui tent played some progressive/full on psy as opposed to Dub Step. Please make sure that Pumpui too plays strictly Psychedelic music.

Once the main stage opened, it turned into a happy Ozora playground. The most amazing people. The widest smiles. And the warmest love.

Great music by the artists. A big shout to Tristan, Protonica, Liquid Soul, Zen Mechanics, Ace Ventura, Logic Bomb.

To be honest, I did not like Raja Ram and Simon's Dj set. I think they are great Live performers but lousy Dj's. I also felt Gorgo, Peter Didjital (great guy) and Behind Blue Eyes played music that did not belong to a psy dance floor.

Ozora needs to bring in artists who perform all the time in Goa like Arjuna, Earthling (Celli), Flipknot / Kerosene club, Samadi. Dj's like Nigel Tav, XP Voodoo. These artists (including Tristan) and Dj's keep the scene in Goa alive year after year. Their contribution should be recognized. For the opening, please consider HiLight Tribe. Such amazing performers.

A sub genre that has always been ignored is Twilight. I hope you bring in more twilight artists from record companies such as Looney Moon.

The chill out stage looked like a monument. Seriously. We were Aww Struck!!! The artists were amazinggggg! But the sound inside was bad. Our friends at Martin Audio have to do some serious thinking. I would have liked the chill out to be an area for people to come lay around and relax. Somehow, this stage did not give me that feeling. Too many people dancing inside as opposed to chilling out. It was a great idea to have speakers on the outside.

We also have to give it up to the Ozora clean up crew... These guys kept the festival site, dining areas and surprisingly the toilets clean despite of the record turn out. Great job guys!

Ozora also had a few major issues.

1. Showers were simply not enough. Long waits. Some showers did not have good water pressure. It was annoying.
2. Drinking water points. You need to fix this. Have at least 5 times the number of water points you had this year. It's unbelievable as to how much inconvenience this caused to all of us. You have no idea how terrible it to wait in long queues especially when the days were hot. The vendors needs to be given access to separate water points. The area around each water point needs to pebble stoned (like they do it at Boom) to avoid muck. The hay and the wooden planks were of little help.
3. Too many people. I agree the vibe was still great. But it was so difficult to find our friends or people you shared a good vibe with. Long lines for everything. I know that you guys work very hard and the commercial success is necessary and is important. But this is coming at a cost. The sense of community dies down the moment there are too many of us. And Ozora seriously needs to think about this before it goes down the Boom way! Any festival with a crowd more than 15k people will pay the price regardless of how much space you have!
4. Too much progressive music. Some of the afternoon's felt miserable especially on the 4th of August. More emphasis on Goa/full on/morning/twilight. While I am not a dark Psy trance lover, lots of people were disappointed by the lack of it.
5. While the security guards did a good job of keeping us safe, they at times stood by the console and kept starting at all of us like they were from the CIA. Not a very good vibe. Tristan during his set had to ensure that they disappeared.
6. Ozora bus ticket counter. To collect the ticket long queues. Thanks to their primitive way of running through pages of names as opposed to using a laptop. Oh yeah! Provide them a electric power point.
7. While safe locker is a VERY important, it was very expensive. 2 Euro/day. It costed me 18 euros to use the safe through the entire length of the festival. When compared to Boom (5 euros for the entire length + 2 euro every time you access) Ozora safe locker was atrociously priced. Plus, when I clarified the total cost (as I confused per day vs per night), the girl at the counter got really angry. May be she was tired (7.30 AM on Aug 8th), but it left a bad taste in my mouth when I left the festival.
8. Cost of food (by vendors) was comparable to that of Boom. And the lines (especially at the Ozora main food counter) were longgggg. Definitely need more food counters.

All in all, a superb festival!

I met the most amazing people, danced to the best artists and had the most incredible experiences. I will be come back. See u all in 2012!

Thank you.

Big Love. V

As a professional audio tech, I'm VERY curious to see what sound you all use this next go 'round.

I've been 5 times to Ozora, so i've seen it grow and grow. And yes, people have to wait for a shower etc, but so what! I don't mind it that much at all. You just have to pick a good moment to get a shower or to go shopping.
The one thing I missed last year was a comfy underground to SIT ON in the marvelous new chill-out. The chill-out was quit impressive but you had te sit in the dirt... that was for me (and prolly many others) the one big turn off last year. So pleasy, make sure that people who want to relax at the chill-out (thats what it's made for, right?) can do that in a more or les comfertable way. Maybe lay lots of straw on the dirt or even beter; grow some grass with daisies or little sunflowers to cover the dirt would be a great idea:) Anything beter than dust or mud would be nice
I hope the organizers make a small effort to get that fixed! That would make many people happy and joyfull, i'm sure of that!
Many regards, Floyd.
And see you all in 215 days!
