I thought this year's stage was pretty damn amazing, a lot less organic looking than last year but I really enjoyed the hard, angular look of it especially while tripping! When I saw it on acid for the first time it looked like some kind of crazy robotic UFO hovering above the dancers or a giant alien temple to psytrance! One guy at the mainstage who was having his first time at a psy fest said to us "It feels like I'm intruding on your psytrance religion" (ofc we told him everyone is always welcome )
I didn't see Para Halu so I can't comment personally, danced at the mainstage all that night but spent the time he was playing dancing with lightgloves at the chill to Higher Intelligence Agency (had to be done!) but I found the music to be great, love to have some good darkpsy nights to really get my stomp on to!

It was still really good! To be honest, for me, it didn't really feel much different than before the police came and the party continued apace (3rd night was mental! TIP, M-Theory, Para Halu, Kindzadza, Psykovsky, Furious, Guiseppe - what a lineup!) and you could still buy stuff but weren't constantly harassed when walking around the market etc.
I'm really having a bit of difficulty with this now, I would LOVE to go again next year (a summer without Ozora is no kind of summer at all) but I am concerned about the whole thing, I can't help but think because of what happened this year the police will take an interest next year too and I really don't want to be subject to the whims of Hungarian police.
This years was my first Ozora festival, while I have been to German festivals like Vuuv, Indian Spirit and Full moon which are a lot smaller.
For me it was the perfect festival, everybody was happy and kind to each other... Main stage and the sound were amazing, i really felt the "Ozora vibe" and I will definitely come back next year.
Yes there was a lot of police men in the raid but I only saw them search big camps near the main road or near the showers which could be good places to sell drugs because of the amount of people walking by every hour. Of course the police had to take action when you see drug and price listings written on cars, large boards or even on people's t-shirt or a human back written with neon colors...
I dont know how many people who attended Ozora but my guess would be +30.000 and I think maybe 100-200 got searched or something, that is under 1% of the attendance. They were only looking for drug dealers and nothing else (except the food shops who didn't pay taxes)
Reading this thread makes it sound like it was a lot worse than what really happened. People here write that they found guns, kilos of drugs and 50 people were arrested... Is there a web link to any of this or is it just a rumor? I only saw one big camp near the supermarket were people got arrested.
Maybe the vibe was gone in about 5-6 hours while the big police raid was on but before and after, this festival was one of the best party times in my life and that incident didn't ruin it at all :!
- From a photo you cannot see how it went;
- It was not only 200 people searched and not only dealers.
The raid ruined everything. For 12 years we got no cops, now Ozora is gone.
How can one person chill, relax and be merry sorrounded by armed cops? Even if he has nothing to hide (like me).
This is not any other bullshitting festival like Tomorrowland: this is Ozora Festival.
That means no cops. We are enough for ourselves even with only security.
And by the way, it was a low shot by the organizer and the owner to let this happen.
For example, read some posts on facebook. You will see a lot of surprising informations.
Spread the Love is actually spreading manure as far as I can see. The police thing appears rationally to have been politically motivated but certainly fueled by a moronic underclass of petty dealers. The whole thing about our scene is that it is underground and illegal. The idea is to slip 20,000 drug fiends into a country without attracting too much attention. That requires that the 20,000 act with a bit of nausse maybe even show a little street smarts. Really Spread me old China its the people with the signs you should be poring your Love on they killed it, if its dead not the owner or the organizers. They are in for the long haul they just haven't seen it all before so didn't know how to react when the morons came to there party. Because they where to busy creating Paradise.

ok so they have made 4 (four) arrests alltogether in ozora. all of them were dealers. from the obvious kind... believe me they wouldnt lie about it if there were more. kind of embarrassing for them, this result

RIP Ozora
I was there, I am not judging from pictures:
The few police that did turn up did almost nothing, they HAD to turn up because of the news channel or else they would have been turned on themselves. The place was not "surrounded by armed cops", there were probably about 50 cops total (I walked around a lot while they were there to see what was going on, none of them harassed me either).
The party not only continued after the police came but also WHILE they were there too, the atmosphere at the mainstage while the police were walking around was amazingly hilarious and energetic!
Ozora is still very much alive, this year continued the trend of Ozora being more and more amazing with every edition and I will definitely go back next year.
That link above proves to me that what I thought to be the case is true and that the paranoia I had is unfounded. Yes the openness of drug sales at Ozora needs to be toned down, but that just brings it back into line with any other psy fest, no matter how much we dislike it a festival is not above their stupid laws.
