but what if everybody's music preference is supplied and enjoyed, that way we would all get together with out prejudice and have a good time , why be so elitist and militant about it, I thought this type of thought was what differentiated this scene from the others, It seems like today's music is reflecting that type of melting pot ideology because every genre seems to be influencing each other . Having dreads, and doing LSD, or wearing flip flops, big sun glasses and doing cocaine , you belong to this scene I cant talk to you because im from another much cooler scene,...All this type of human intervention is just below true musical appreciation .These are just materialistic creations of the monkey ego we have which just poisons the real meaning of music .
Just a thought, I could be wrong
The Ozora crew would like to thank all of you for believing in us and for bringing your everlasting energies .
This festival would be nothing without you, thus you are the ones who give us the power to go forward .We love reading your good stories and are always watching out for your suggestions cause Ozora is yours to shape and yours and no one else's !
We are always here to listen !
We have lots of new ideas that will only make the festival better ,just believe in us !

you right, but,if next ozora will be more crowded ? people complainig about shade area on main stage and music...its not about unity its about freedome...im allways can go to my tent and chill but i want to dance in my freedom..to run and have fun near the speaker with many open space to have fun...we are growing and ozora needs to grow with us and for us all so...u can do 3 stages with mixed styles...it wil bring to us more fun [/quote]
For sure bro (or sis) but there were three stages. Main, chill and Pumpui. What if every stage jumbled it up? Chill on main, goa in chill and dark in P.stage. I'm getting ahead of myself, hahaha. I think the festival is taking as many considerations of a tribe consisting of 60,000 individual opinions as they can. I thinks it just the musical preferences that seek to be adjusted so EVERYONE can enjoy their particular taste. IMHO, there is that fine line between satisfying everyone's preference and dividing the masses.

Normal life sucked me back in so deep... It took my a while to finaly write a review and make a video
At the first days I was shocked by the many, many people. Everything was so dense, not only in "space" but for my perception also in "energy". I needed some time to adapt, but then I had a really good time. When it comes to mood and vibe I found that Ozora 2011 was better then 2010. It looked and felt like 15000 additional FREAAKS! not people! Trancers, hippies all over the place: Beautyful!
Sure, the showers needed a bit of either patience OR smart timeplanning, but I think it was totally ok. I just went to shower when nobody else did, so I never had to wait in line. I went late evening before going to bed, since mostly I'm not up during nights I could do that easily.
Aside from the low waterpressure (but before complaining about that ONE has to solve this probably unsolvable problem, that's a taff one) I found the organization brilliant from beginning to end. I might have been lucky, but I only came across clean toilets and in my eyes simply everything worked. The new ChillDome is stunning, beautiful, creative and I totally loved the minimal decoration in it. Just a pitty it was so crowded, that I never really wanted to be in there..
Critizism I have only for the visitors. I was disapointed by the amount of drugs that has been taken. There is a limit to everything and it really doesn't have to be everyday and every hour. It was hard to see "natural" people among the so many distorted, wasted faces. I don't mean "tired" that is natural too.
But even worse: The "open dealer scene" was extremely disapointing. What the fuck are you people thinking? There are children, there are "normal" people from nearby towns who work at the Ozora. Really, that was a bad bad thing to do, putting those drugs to display for everyone to see, walking around with signs and so on. I'm not against drugs per se, I just think that it was exaggerated. I hope no problems for the publicity of the Ozora arise from this.
30000 Guests is a good guess I guess. . I'ts a taff question if that was the limit, or if there are more possible or if it was already over the top. I can't say from the organizers, infrastructural point of view, but as I guest there are two sides to it. One one hand it was very beautiful to just see and feel how many of "us" there are, there were great experiences of unity possible and of course everyone was and should be allowed to come as long as it is allowed by the space, sure. On the other hand, at this size camping was crowded to a degree that was borderline funny, which was not really a problem, but could become one. A problem for me was that at this size it was really hard to meet people I know. So many I missed completely, so often I just didn't find my friends and so few times I saw the same stranger known faces again. And because of that, for me, the familiar feeling was only in our camping site.
Before the Ozora I wrote a new song for the Ozora. It's called "Dr. Zoidberg @ Ozora" and kind of expresses my intense feelings of joy of life I experienced at Ozora so many times. I made a video with some footage taken during these days.
@subconsciousmind: the same people whoa are OZORA will also be the end of OZORA.
Year after year we come to this festival and tell amazing stories about it when we return to the "normal" everyday world. But the only thing anyone seems to remember is the part about drugs; the rest they don't even seem to hear. And so, year after year, we're getting more and more groups (of mostly men) who have watched "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" too many times and whose only intention is to get completely wasted out of their minds. I know of several people who went this year for just this reason.
I'm sorry to say this, but over the years Ozora has slowly changed from a psy festival into an all out drug festival. And we're all responsible for it. We should have simply stayed quiet about this amazing place... but it's too late now. I have a feeling that there will come a year when Ozora simply won't be allowed to happen by the authorities and considering all the things I've seen, I'm afraid it will be for a good reason. There are only so many people who can end up at the hospital before someone says "enough"!
I realize the huge crowd brings with it a special energy, but I feel that despite the best organization I've ever seen, the only thing that can keep this festival from destroying itself is a massive reduction in size. There are many people who won't agree with me, but that's how I feel.
Either way, we'll be back next year. Hopefully, so will you.

Not being disrespectful to the organizers, but they're the ones to blame for this drug stuff. They should have kept Ozora like it was in 2009, small, family. Taking a look at videos from 2009 and 2011, they seem two completely different events. Getting giant is always a death knell in the psychedelic scene. Either it gets unauthorized, or it misses the spirit.
The organizers could kick off the prog-trance. Ibiza-scene could stay home, and psy-family should have again room to live and breathe. Also applies to the Boom.

I also agree there were too much people this year at Ozora...And i could say that a part of them were just "tourists"...no "real Goa-Psy-freaky people"...
And when icompared with the last two years, i was appalled by the increase of garbages on the site...
I hope that Ozora will not be a victim of its own success...
Maybe i am
Kick off the prog trance? Oh no, please! Did you mean progressive psytrance or simply progressive trance (i'am a big fan of oldschool prog trance, the actual productions don't really interest me)? I did not hear this style over there...
Diversity of Psy/Trance music is a strong point in this festival!
Yes, my girlfriend & me have enjoyed this Ozora festival, but we prefer the familial aspect of the previous ones...

Boom is also killing itself with that "diversity". Daytime music is only lazy and unimaginative minimal crap played by halfhearted artists. Dancefloor is missing energy and people are standing like at traffic lights with empty heads.
Edit. I must admit that I sometimes listen prog-trance at home. Psygressive is very nice at partys also, but that minimal/house is killing my vibe at the partys. Everyone of my friends were talking same kind of opinions after this year OZORA. We have a place for standing, sitting and lying, and that is chill-out, not mainstage!

i too agree on the drugs issue... it was way way too much in your face - i wont be a hypocrite here and say kick the drugs off the fest cuz i enjoyed that part too, but for fucks sake people get your head in check and dont abuse - ENHANCE your experience! thats what their there for...
as for the whoever dealt them there, they can do their shit without sticking it in everyone's face, as it has always been done... it made the festival feel a little cheap/dirty from that aspect.

codex are you serious? almost every day from 12:00 onwards (or maybe 14:00 in some days) it was all minimal, to a point where i just gave up on the music and took the long walk to the tipical beach and basked myself in the sun
