Ott has a new CD in the works - I 've heard a lot of the new tracks and they're truly worth waiting for. He said in an interview with Twisted that it took him 20 years to make the first album so taking 4 years to make the next one is not bad! It's scheduled for Fall release, I think.

And by the way, his actual name is Ott so it's not O.T.T. but just plain old Ott.

As for chill music in the Ott/psydub style, my recommendations would be to check out Waterjuice, Gaudi, Slackbaba, Pitch Black (esp. the excellent dubby remix of Lost in Translation), Adham Shaikh and Kuba. Not all releases from these artists are dubby but some of them are and are worth checking out.

If you see Ott's name on a lineup for a party near you, be sure to check it out. He's been playing a lot of the new stuff for the last year so it's a great way to get a preview. He seems to be playing out quite regularly so he might just be coming to a party near you!

hmm don't think Zero is close to Ott at all. He's great by his own style... but no debate here.

I think maybe 'Slackbaba - And The Beat Goes OM' is more alike.

njoy!

ott is hard at work on his new album - in the mixing stage.

i highly advise going to london for the twisted show at the brixton academy - there will be new hallucinogen in dub material [simon, youth, ott... what a magical blend ...]

once all this is done we expect that Ott and Chris will start work on the Umberloid album - which we will release early next year if all goes as it should

honestly i don't think anyone sounds like ott, and he sounds just like himself... still - there's loads of other great music and producers out there.

i do think he is one of the best mixers - his levels are perfect and to date Twisted have not settled for anything less than the best mastering engineers London has to offer... which is something to be thankful for...

from all the reply's the conclusion for me is that ott is one of a kind, all we have to do is to sit and wait for the next c.d to come.
and i just wanted to recommend on two special chill tracks that are an obligation to hear:

J-Views - your country (original mix)
U-Recken - aquatic serenade

U-Recken amazed me, i was so surprised to listen to a full-on c.d and in the end was this enjoyable and pleasant serenade.
