I'm out in Cali, but I can tell you that aside from Cali parties I hear a LOT of noise out of New York. They just had Loud a couple days before us (we had them NYE). It's just that this forum isn't so active anymore. So no matter where you are in North America, chances are that at least 50% of the gatherings don't even make it up here. I do my best to post most of the Pulsar gatherings here (specific to southern California), but I might be one of the last organizers who pays Isratrance much mind.

Thanks. I think Isratrance North America is just not as popular anymore. Sad.

Thanks. It looks like NYC trancers have migrated to facebook. I heard hux flux a few weeks ago and he absolutely tore up the floor with some fantastic remixing of old tracks and an arsenal of venomous new sounds. I was really trancefixed. Best of dances to all.

I'm from NJ and NYC used to be my scene, but I moved to Boston recently.
It's kind of sad, because right about the time I started hating facebook, is when all the NE promoters started putting everything on Facebook. When I'd prefer to not sort through all the BS events and game invitations.
It's weird to me, because someone else told me about KINDZADZA playing in Philly on in April. Where I always thought of ANYONE I know, I would be the first to know. But I can't stand facebook and a post a day in the NA Forum isn't exactly enticing to check isra everyday anymore. But, obviously, I do check it from time to time. |

this is almost exactly the same story as me. i quit facebook in like 2009 i think, and that's about the same time when promoters started using only facebook to promote. now i have no idea what is going on...my wife is on FB and tells me things from time to time, but not being on facebook has rendered me completely out of the loop.
with isratrance and mailing lists and such, it was the scene supporting itself and us using each other to get the word out. now the trance scene relies on some giant corporation to connect with each other. psytrance is one of thousands of subcultures that has been co-opted and appropriated by these fuckers. and we (yes, myself included) happily walked right into it.
can you tell i hate facebook?
