NYC has a pretty good trance scene...
Im not sure what the scene is there since Synthetic Saddhus are not having anymore parties...
LA nowadays has been dead.. not much happening here, there used to be one big act every week... now everything is pretty much dry.
NC, mr Sage (Mike) can help you on that one.. I believe there are a few gatherings goin on there.. as for FL , Im not sure what the scene is oer there. when I was there it was totally dry.

What a short memory we have!
In L.A. I've seen Astral Projection, XDream, Infected Mushroom, GMS, Alien Project, Space Tribe, Tim Schuldt, Dimitri, Cosmosis, PsySex, SUN Project and that's a partial list!
We went from no trance to two years of one party after the other..now there has been a down period but I'm sure it will pick up after the new year!
The scene here is small but full of cool people..by the end of the night you will know everyone who's been dancing around you all night and you will more than likely see them again at the next party..
The vibe is great and the passion for trance is visible!

I would have to say either San Francisco or New York (for the time being).
L.A was once really kicken it high up in the "scene". Not anymore.
Hopefully, things will change and get better

asheville nc definitely has a trance scene going on, but it is by no means anywhere near as large as it is in SF, NY, or even LA. asheville is just a small college town in the mountains, populated largely by students and a substantial hippy/new age community. the population is small (about 75,000), but the percentage of 'tuned-in' people is high. we usually get about 100+ people @ any given party, which considering the size of the city is a pretty decent turnout. we have only ever had one international headliner (synchro last year), but instead we have had numerous guests from the eastern u.s. play for us. maybe we could have some bigger names in the future, but for now we prefer to keep it local so that we may keep the price of admission down (parties are never more than $10, and we have done many events for free). the emphasis is on quality, not quantity...
