NY compression style

NY compression is a term that I don't use really. When I was reading this topic I've realized that this technique is very similar with what I simply call LAYERING. Also I had no teacher and I don't read books on how to make a perfect mix or something like that. I read manuals from all the tools I use and I spend a lot of time tweeking the knobs and less time writing about things I've never done but still I doubt that they work.
Beeing a SNOB is to value money, things and popularity before real human values such as knoweledge, kindnes, compassion etc. I don't see how you came up with this "snob" idea but I can see that you've recognized your self in my words and obviously that bothers you. But that's your problem.
If somebody suggest you a technique for making YOUR music sound better you can:
a) actually try it out for your self and than decide is it working or not or...
b) be ignorant fool and ask for some practical proof and threat that you will not try it until a proof is given to you.
Whatever you choose I'm fine with that. And since I'm not the one who doesn't know this technique a question appears: Why should I care to proove you anything?
For a smart person it enough to give a few hints and principles. The rest he will figure on his own and fill the blanks with expirience or hours of work. But you want it NOW or never and you want it on a silver plate with step by step instructions and audio example to go with it:) How about I make you an entire album and you just sign it and smile to the camera?
btw: RTFM  Than you'll know what "Four Filters" are all about. Don't expect others to do your homework and practice.

i'm gonna write this whole reply (this is my last one on this topic) without once using the word "ignorant" ,"fool" or "smart"/"stupid" :
for me, the most important thing is creativity ...u know, that little thing u dont find in manuals...i dont have all the time in the world for perfecting my skills at various techniques of sound production (good as they may B)...i need to make some SELECTION ....my selection so far is the very simple VERY effective waves Rcomp, wich is the simplest also.
Foolish choice? perhaps, but its one that gets me where i want fast so i can keep creating. if u have a Bad creative flow, no compression technique in the world is gonna save u...
i saw something interesting in this topic and thought to ask on it, but i hate to C childish responses...this is supposed to be a technical forum.

@ energytick: after calling me "snob" and commenting my post with "blah, blah, blah" what have you expected? Is that your vision of tehnical forum?
Next time don't start an argue if you're not able to finish it and don't judge others without at least some arguments you can stand up to.
