Awesome singer (R.I.P.), I personally own "Ragas and Sagas" with Norwegian artist Jan Garbarek, "Princess of the sea" and the remixes on Real World.
any other recommendations about his production?

hello peeps! good thread bout a legend!
check out Abida Parween : shes been classed as the true successor to Nusrat - some of her best work are the folky stuff - just have to clap your hands to it!!!
check out the catalog for Navras Records as well

jan Garbarek is one of the musicians I respect the most. His works with Keith Jarret are... I don't know, but they're not from this world.
Combination with Nusrat sounds great, I'll defintly check it out.

I know ecm very well, since my father is a jazz musician. He also likes nusrat very much, so he was delighted when I told him about this superb collaboration.

OK..... don't mean to get anyones hopes up or anything, but:
i heard Infected Mushroom have remixed a NFAK song !!!
Can anyone either confirm or deny this ???
I'm damn curious to hear what their take on Nusrat would sound like.
