i got cubase legit and a cracked nuendo...
i kinda like nuendo better though its layed out a tad different... aside from more surround
sound capabilities, are there more advantages for nuendo over cubase????

also i can get live to be slave and nuendo master but not the other way around...is it possible and if so how???

any help on either of the above would be appreciated!

Nuendo can be used to work on film. A very powerful software indeed. I guess if Pro Tools wasn't around the professional industry would take Nuendo!

I am pretty sure it also has 5.1 capability, a further + as opposed to Cubase. As to the chaining issue, I don't know...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

I hate protools, its rather bullshit of a standard
in my opinion of course, so don't flame me here
protool FANATIKS!

Protools is basicly the hardware but its converters and preamps are basicly very basic... its over hyped
i rather use cubase, live or even adobe audition b4 i jump into the protools bandwagon. at least wih those apps im entitled to use wateva hardware i choose!

back to my question from some reading i've noticed
that before in past versions the sound engine were differnt but after the nuendo 2 they both share the same engine.... I don't know theyre bout the same but for some reason, nuendo seems better and a tad more stable... faster load up etc...

anyone with more info between the 2 apps?

upavas thanks for ur feedback.

nuendo for now i know supports more differnt surround sound capabilties than cubase...
i read somewhere that supposeably cubase is better in midi than nuendo but in audio nuendo takes it with its crossfading's... anyone here can verify this?

i wanna decide if cubase or nuendo is going to be my main mixing down app since i do all my creative programming and soong structure in live and then export to cubase or what could be now NUENDO...

thanks guys as always this is the best and my personally favorite forum in music production...
I just wanted to share that!!! its a great reminder for all us to be in such a great learning, and helpful environment with minds alike, we're all very down to earth and nice peoples here in isratrance!

Much love!

hahaha, I used to say exactly the same about Pro Tools. Apart from it being used for mixing music by me (love it for that) I use it for film audio post production where it is great, once you have figured out the whole thing.

No worries though, I reckon everyone should use whatever they feel most comfortable with and what gives them the desired results and Digidesign have you pay for everything, I much prefer Image Line in terms of their business practices.

Nuendo is far superior to Pro Tools on a midi basis, much better workflow... Digidesign did come out with something called Transfuser though, I have not yet had a chance to try it out, I was told that it goes a little into the direction of FL...

As far as Cubase being superior to Nuendo on a midi basis I would go to a store and check each one. See which one is better for yourself.

On a Nuendo presentation I saw recently (half year ago) I was surprised at what Nuendo really can do.
I would probably go for Nuendo.           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

The only difference is that in Nuendo you can treat video files and in cubase you dont.

i compared cubase sx3 and nuendo 3 some time ago, and my first experience was, that if i opened the same track in both of the programs (separated) cubase used much more CPU than nuendo, so i closed cubase immidiately:)

thats all i can say about it...           http://hauntedcastle.tk http://soundcloud.com/hauntedcastle

it seems nuendo is built more tighter,
faster and more stable, from my experience aswell.
