Before i upload the ram (Memo) to 2 Giga (At the time when i had to fight with the Cpu scale) I find that the Nuendo 3 is realy much more tough , stable , convenient and comfortable program then the delicate Sx 3 by cubase , Could feel it with the power in (Maybe because of the movies optiones (I dont know) - Never freeze or stuck in a middle of important project/work .
Thx god now all is 100 (2 Giga) , No prob's at all , All work fine , But there is an any differents 'built in' on the power/force side there between this two ?
The secrets of Steinberg . There is any free engineer out there with some new and actual info ?
Professionals answers pls . Thx ! .

I cannot give you technical info but indeed Nuendo works better., Nuendo is th "Big" brother of cubase and besides the video/broadcasting options, the control room i canot explain why works better.Im takign a mix and mastering course and soem engineers in my class were blown away by nuendo, most of them use pro tools in their studios and they got surprised of how smoother Nuendo works, specially for mixing big sessions. i guess nuendo is made for those tasks and i've been told by my techer (a german awesome guy) that nuendo works extremely well with dual core processor. Like if they were made for each other. |

I've heard that Steinberg is not focusing too much energy on fixing the smaller bugs within Cubase, because it does'nt bring them as much money.
But then again, the underlying engine is supposed to be the exact same, so replicating bug fixes between the two products wouldnt be a problem at all.
By the way 2 Gigs of RAM ? You sure you shouldnt be upgrading your CPU/mobo instead ?

Which aspect is the same between Nuendo3 and CubaseSX3? The interface, or the sound engine?
I was recently told it was the underlying sound engine which was different, and that the interface was very similar.

I've never used Nuendo but I've read bits and pieces about it, and people I trust use it.
The audio engine is identical between SX and Nuendo, with the exception that Nuendo can handle a wider range of surround formats. There are several user interface enhancements in Nuendo that some people here might benefit from, and I guess there is the possibility of increased stability too, since people paying that much for their tools tend to insist they work all the time (although SX3.2 is by far the most stable version I've yet used)... sonically though they are the same, and I'm perfectly happy with SX.

don't forget that nuendo costs 2 times more than cubase=)
as for me i work in both of them (i make sound for tv advertisment in nuendo, that's my main job and i make music in cubase @ my home studio) and i find them both very stable. it seems some plugins can freeze or stuck the whole programm, but thats not the cubase/nuendo bugs..

Well Read some nicely answers in here , Even check the weight of the both programs and seems that the Cubase Sx 3 abit more heavy , (But at the same time dont think there is any connection with it) .
Sure , Maybe its a metter of price (Can be) Maybe somthing else , Maybe we will never know .. |

trsut me, if the audio engine of nuendo was any better then cubase then steinberg wouldnt hesitate to tell you about it in big bold letters.
i'm with colin, people believe the hype about so many other things, this one is no diffrent.
nuendo is equipped to deal with video and cubase isnt... the buck stops here.
