Greets everyone,

i was not sure where to post this so, apologies to mods if i've blundered!!

Basically what i'm trying to do is this ..

I've got a midi synth track in Nuendo 3 and i want to record it onto an audio track in the same project. Need to do this in order to free up CPU.

I've tried many things like creating IN/OUT buses and various techniques but the Audio track will just not record.
Another thing I've noticed is that when creating an input bus, Mia MIDI allows for only the S/PDIF inputs assigned to channels 3 and 4 only(which are external input connections). It does not allow me to rout the MIDI through any of the internal virtual channels so that i can record MIDI to an audio track internally.

The funny thing is i upgraded from a cretive Audigy ZS Platinum PRO where such function was a breeze!!

Any solutions to this would be highly appreciated. It's really affecting my productivity and workflow!!

Cheers mates!!           "... b'om ..."

i think you can achieve that by doing this:
have your midi tracks as is, make a group channel track and send the midi tracks there, then make an audio track and put it to take signal from the group channel you made, arm record and hit play to record whatever you have send on the group bus
else you can make a "loop" chain with the spdif, but this way you take the master bus signal and have to solo each track to record it, but i dont know how the creative works to do that

thanx for the reply gutter!!

just to clarify - i was using the creative audigy before - and now i'm using the echo mia midi.

i attempted to do it as you mentioned, created stereo group chnl, routed midi, add audio track, create a send signal from the group and record - didn't work. the only way to make an audio track receive a signal, as i understand, is by creating an input bus. this did not work either.
bus creation allows for use of channels (S/PDIF)which are external signal inputs and do not function internally for some reason.

i did not get exactly what u meant by "loop" chain, some elaboration would be great!!

Thanx alot!!

b'om shankara!!
