The energy people spend on their needs for living is minor.

The biggest poluter, energy and resources waster is the war!

America and other countries are brainwashing the people with their campaings about safe future, while poluting the enviroment with their production of toxic weapons...

True! I am always on the line to radical. But there are so many solutions to sustainable energy, and probably a better economic systems. Truth is we could all have our own supply of electricity, And could in fact use it more wisely.

Right now all these nuclear power plants mainly goes to supply the industry, which produces a lot of garbage.

U.N Votes Yes To Bomb Libya! Stupid idiots, When America Say ceasefire everybody should comply, But when Americas own people say, ceasefire, stop the war, who listen? Not the government, No government seem to listen to their people or even give them a saying in what should happen.

I say undress those bastards and give their costumes to some clowns at the circus...

freeflow: i'm not saying give up. personally, i'm in the process of turning my land into a permaculture forest farm, and setting up renewable energy.

but we need to accept that most of the world is to busy watching glen beck and masturbating to german shit porn to really give much of a damn about anything.

this may not be a totally "trance" statement, so feel free to flame, but alot of the people in this scene give me hope that there may be a chance for a future.

my crew is moving slowly to bio fuel generators, a few of us are moving our lives to sustainable things. slow process, but doing what we can.

sounds like the rest of ya'll are too! cheer!!

That is great to hear!
I also understand this is a slow process but there should be a fast change of mind.

I am personally less concerned with airborne radiation from Japan, and more concerned about the 2 rather old plants located in Sweden within alarming distance from my neck of the woods. Already i´ve had to deal with this issue in ´86 (which was a 7 on the nuclear disaster scale and much closer to my home than what would be considered comfortable) With our unstoppable lust/need/addiction for technology and energy, nuclear fission is a rather uncomfortable trade-in with a lot of scare involved. part of that scare comes from very real incidents and part of that comes from almost 3 generations having grown up in the shadow of a looming nuclear war (or so we were told anyway) I´d really like to see other alternatives that gives so much bang for the buck with regards to fuel used. For the CO2 scared ones fission in and of itself does not produce CO2. Windpower is nice, but only good when it´s windy. Solar is sweet, but only if you have huge storage capacity or live in eternal sunshine. Hydro electrics only work well when damming up huge areas and damaging the local environment in the process. We must break down something to generate energy, that´s the limits of our technology right now. Energy does not just pop out of nowhere and coupled with human short sightedness we end up where we are today.           Mastering available here:

Freeflow, you just loose a drill, imo, because of somebody will need to chnage and u dont know have u right to change not only your life, but somebody else too.
Consider all what are you doing have impact on somebodies life.
If u know what u want, than make 7 breathes and 1 decision, and when u choose something follow it, as respected japaneses says. Maybe still got to plan or think about something?
I faced this thought about a year ago and now spreading the same message and living this way about last 6 month:
*working local
*consume only good stuff as much as i want: clean water, natural milk & clean food (buy vegetals and meat and cook them, not consuming fast/junk food).
*limit my pc working hours (i work in it)
and bring some more health in my relations with people.
btw, good option is to drink some ayahuasca, it clears mind a lot.

If you are passionate about this subject I suggest you read some of the reports that are circulating these days... for instance:
http://wwf.panda.org/what_we_do/footprint/climate_carbon_energy/energy_solutions/renewable_energy/sustainable_energy_report/
http://www.skepticalscience.com/plan-100-percent-energy-wind-water-solar.html
http://www.zerocarbonplan.org/

As an exercise, I challenge you to look up the human health effects of nuclear vs fossil fuel power over the last few decades. Most of the problems with nuclear remain speculative i.e. things could potentially go wrong in some way or another. Coal plants, on the other hand, actually kill hundreds of thousands of people every year (or more; exact data is ~13,000 per year in the continental US). In some ways I liken these debates to the general fear of air travel vs the higher statistical likelihood that you will be killed or injured in an automobile crash. We humans tend to place a disproportionate emphasis on processes that cause a lot of harm at once compared to those that cause more harm over a longer period of time. Basic psychology, really... just another bias to be aware of.

Anyhow, I am not writing in support of nuclear energy, just to make that clear If we can get by without fossil fuel or nuclear energy, great! If we need to make a choice between the two options while transitioning to carbon free renewable energy then I can only hope dogma does not prevail over reason.

dude, i understand it well - it's not about nuclear vs oil, it's about humanity survive or not!

So energy, system, moneym food, jobs are just only parts of the soultion, where the first step is personal responsibility and to be fair with oneself.

And "the agents" are aware of this, here u can see what happened when somebody who have power do the changes to shift things.

Also one time i thought that artists who really can change things got murdered, because of real power they have

intersteing how none talks about coal plants, just some facts:
"The nation's fleet of over 100 coal plants is responsible for 57 percent of the electricity generated in the U.S., more than any other single electricity fuel source"

and

Nevertheless, coal power plants are responsible for 93 percent of the sulfur dioxide and 80 percent of the nitrogen oxide emissions generated by the electric utility industry.

besides the few incidents is the nuclear energy cleaner as coal, and even coal is considered in many countries as green energy.... like here in western europe.

Coal emissions also cause urban smog, which has been linked to respiratory ailments, and coal-fired power plants also contribute to global climate change. Coal plants emit 73 percent of the carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere from electricity generators. By releasing the energy stored in coal, large quantities of carbon dioxide that have been stored in the coal for millions of years are released back into the atmosphere, increasing the threat of global warming. Coal plants are also a major source of airborne emissions of mercury, a toxic heavy metal.

As Monno mentioned, still the wind/solar energy is not an alternative for the increasing demand of the energy, for sure eachone can help to contribute by using less energy, but the main problem is growing wolrd popullation and growing industries and economies in countries like China and India.           to use your head you have to go out of your mind
