hello,
basically, i am working on new musiclabel and searching for artists...
i want your specials...!!!
i am mostly interested in downbeat/chill, psytrance, fxnbass, jazz, dub, elektro...but you can send music in any styles...
i have to admit, that i am very critical with music...
this is very subjectiv of course, but luckily i can decide, yeeeeei...
so for trance
- i dont want any track which sounds like the 1000th copy of cosmo or azax syndrom or else...
- i dont want your track, if it contains any "dark" or "evil" messages...
- also i am not big fan of minimal or progressive...
so, if you dont have anything superspecial in theses genres, i will maybe not even listen it carefully...
- if you only think about profit for yourself, i dont want your tracks too
- and i dont want tracks from assholes...
if you have tracks, from which you think, they are too different from what is usually played on dancefloor, send them...
because its much more economic, music on the label will be offered as digital release in 128kbps.mp3 for free download and sold as
16bit.wav (and additionally probably also as 24bit.wav)...
the release of cds is planned too, but only from time to time in very limited amounts as a special...
however, i am planning to releases first compilation completely free in 128kbps.mp3 and 16bit.wav
i wont pay any money for releasing the tracks, so dont ask...!!!
nowadays, music market has changed... releasing music is not about making money anymore... and if there will be any money generated by selling music, it will be spent for the label to grow...
/
currently i am working on the website for the label...
it will go online on 21 of june this year...
first compilation will be released in end of july...
before i forget, name of the label will be
- littlebigsensations -
http://www.littlebigsensations.com
so, if you are interested, send an email to:
littlebigsensations at yahoo dot com
looking forward to hear some excellent music....
andreas
something from me, so you can get an idea, what i like...

Do you have a soundcloud account?
I have several new tracks there in "private" mode.
For general idea you can check http://soundcloud.com/aedem (it's chill, kind of)
If you find such music interesting for your label, please contact me for unreleased tracks

heyhoo, thanks for the comments and suggestions...
well, yes... 128kbps is nothing for playing on
a party...
but nowadays, when lot of people just listen to their music in crappy quality on youtube, i was thinking 128kbps might be enough for the general listeners... i dont even think, that most people would recognize the difference...
and if you have really good music, it also sounds ok on 128kbps-mp3...
and if people want to get the "real" thing, they are able to buy the wave-files...
but i will think about this...
and, yep... world definitely needs another label...!
to medea: thnx, will check out and let u know...

so you say that as a label manager your choose'd business plan is to release low quality encoded music cos the average listener listens to low quality encodings anyway?
i thought the best is to give the listener and potential costumer high quality products to maximize your quality feedback on the market!

well, maybe i was misunderstood...
so i will try to explain a little better...
i want to release music in 16bit.wav and 24bit.wav to buy... this is not about creating a free label...
but i want to give people (and not only potential customers) the chance to download it and listen to it at home...
for this task 128kbps.mp3 is ok in most cases... maybe i will change to 192, but not sure yet...
if i release the music for free as 320kbps.mp3, there would be probably also djs downloading it for playing (i know, what i am speaking of here, i saw it dozens of times)... and thats the last thing i want...
so i am hoping that with a little lower encoding quality i can still satisfy average home listening needs and at the same time keep djs away from taking the mp3-files for playing...
so the mp3 is more a "giveaway"...
besides of that there will be constantly also
free high quality encoded tracks, but thats not, what the label is about...

so, let me get this straight. you are a picky bitch firsthand, which i think is ok because there are so many bullshitbingolabels out there releasing utter rubbish..
but you want to make a label and earn money with it (with the 16/24 bit stuff at least) but refrain from paying ANY money to your future artists?
sorry i can´t see that comin dude...
or did i miss something that said: hi, i am raja ram and make you famous for releasing your tracks on my label for free..???
ps. this is not to piss you off, i just do not get the concept mate. like your sound btw even if it is SO not my usual cup of tea...

yes as in my dumb mind this is what i understand here...
artist give the tracks and he choose the ones that fit the style he wants to release.
then he gives away for free 128mp3 to the masses for preview since most of the internet music is in 128mp3 and is an acceptable medium.
than sells the 16/24bit wavs and keeps all the profit.
ok lets see that everything is going as planned and you start to have income from selling the wanes.. what do you offer to the artist?
since it will pretty much be something for your profit what will artist gain from you except releasing their music in a newly established and yet unknown web label...
bookings?
maybe in the future some physical releases?
forwarding tracks to other major labels? ( guess not since the 128mp3 will burn the track to the audience and other labels )
no offense here just asking!

releasing on your label will be like making tracks for nothing. it s ok to release wihtout making money when you use the name of a label but i don t see the point here except if you spend cash into promoting the artists maybe |
