also automap can do it for u automaticly but at times it doessnt make sense so its better to just map em urself even though sometimes it automaps it quite nice 
but it didnt work as i expected in live sure when i tweak it perfect but when recording my automation in live it doesnt automate the plugin instead the automation is written in envellopes midi controll section so then i have to cut & paste into the midi control section plugin in the right parameter, has any one got a fix for this obviously if ur workin with live... |

FINALLY! My remote 61 sl is home. Ive tried it for a few minutes last night but I had to wake up real early today so I havent had much time to give it a real test.
But so far I think it's an AMAZING controller. The keys are way softer than ozonic and it's very nice to play with. I love it.
I just need to get rid of my other controllers now and get a good soundcard for my homestudio.
Two thumbs up for novation.

Another cool thing i have spotted with automap, it actually remembers your saved assigned controls (when using learn) so when you later open your project again, it automatically has all those controls mapped for the plug-in. Pretty cool

Think about this: Take all the time you spend to map shit up enverything you start a new project. All you have to do is map it once or even not map it at all. Even if you spend a lot of time mapping things at your desire, it's there on automap plug-in.

Yea me too. No tweaking for me in the next few months after im getting used to it. Then maybe I might try to build my own templates.

the new automap versions have a "touch and learn" function.
Just select the controller in the plugin, move the knob and start having fun.
I really don't see why anybody would need a manual or dvd for these things.
Its so easy.
Just install automap, open the automap version of the plugin and there you go. touch learn play.

Does anyone know to map ableton's native vsts? I got beat repeat and auto filter to display their controls on remote sl panels but i couldnt tweak em with the knobs.
Guess auto mapping them is not possible since they have no "automap version"
Tried to use MIDI maps on ableton too but ableton didn't seem to recognize them.
Help!

go into options - preferences - control surface select novation remote . do the same in the inputs and out puts then go down midi ports - you should see 3 novation sl ports, and go one by one to make sure u find the right one doing this - click on - inputs n outputs for each track, sync but most importantly remote - now move a knob u should see a lil light flash on ur top right of the sequencer to the right of the box with a D, presto it should work also choose preset 38 on the novation which is the automap preset good luck nerdkiller, hope that helps |

what about using automap universal plug-in manager? Can you add them in there?
