I have an x-station which is the same synth just coupled with a MIDI controller and audio interface, it is good you can get some good sounds out of it, I use it mostly in my chill music, good for pads and atmospherics.
I'd recommend it. |

The novation V-Station is completely based on the K station, so if you want it for the sound alone just go for the v-station. If you want it for the hardware control get th K-station.

the vstation and the kstation although pretty much alike in the gui and capabillities have a great difference in sound...
i use to enjoy alot my kstation but now i only use the novation nova!
its very handy when on stage tho cos its good sounding easy to program and small to carry!
go for it if its cheap!

I have an x-station and its OK, but the output is not good enough imho. The effects on the Nova is far better than the x-stations. But its an ok soundengine i guess.

Yeah, the nova is miles ahead of an x-station or k-station, but for price the x-station is way cheaper.
I got mine brand new for $500 aus. |

To be honest, try finding a used nova instead, they are much better than both k and x station.

Thanks again! I own a Nord 2X, do you think this would be a good addition to my studio or does it sound close to the nord? Sorry to ask so much, but the synth is in an ebay type store and I cannot try it without "buying" it online first. And besides that, the person selling is in another city! |

Two completely different synths, but since I got my nord I hardly use the x-station anymore. |
