Hi
Im thinking of buying a bassstation (keys)..
i use reason 2.5 to make music. and i wonder if Reason recognizes it...i mean if I want to create a bass-patch on the subtractor..
do i need to change in the options then? |

As far as I recall, theres no Midi Out option in Reason, so it's not possible to create a sequence in the program and have any kind of hardware playing the created sequence.
If I'm mistaken, anyone please correct me.
Cheers,
Lars

firstly - cant ask your question exactly - not used reason.
secondly - The bass station you wanna buy - as i think is not the best thing for making basslines.
personally dont like it.but maybe it's a matter of taste.... |

Can't really come with any recommendations. On that issue, you should do some searching in this forum - there are plenty of topics on that matter...

juno 106 I think is the best for bass. Logic Bomb and Talamasca use this for all their basses and it sounds great. And loads of others do. |

UIU are correct! im going to buy me a juno 106 my self! it´s a sweet little synth! that can produce some some warm and jumpy basses...and other cool sounds of course...
Iblit might be a solution, it can produce some juno 106 like basses...(dont how close it comes) its a Vsti that you can find here: http://www.bostreammail.net/ers/iblit.html
check the polyiblit aswell, more powerful but heavy on the cpu!
the bassstation is nothing to waste your money on, Imo...
Waldorf Q is good for basses aswell, from what iv heard...
and maybe take a look at the Roland Sh-101, it can also produce some warm edgy basses... |

i cant really know the why of the BASS in the STATION eehheh
really dont think it make that good of a bass..
my sugestion for bass would be:
steinberg vb-1 (awesome.. if u tweak it right, i'm still learning that eheh)
muon tau pro (very nice.. you get more fast results, but the high quality possibilities might be less than with vb-1)
take care
this is how we are ought to see how sound really is.. |

fluor- you can make bass form samples cds too.
but the good on station is the posibilities and options you get
what you got on muon pro - almost nothing - used it for 2 years
