Novation Automap Pro 3.1 problem

I got automap pro for my Nocturn and I can map keyboard strokes to the buttons/knobs, but nothing works in Ableton.
I can assign other things like filters to the knobs or notes to the buttons and they work fine in Ableton, but none of the keystrokes do.
I am trying to set up my controller to use for a live set, triggering clips. If anyone could help me out with this or suggest a better way to set it up, that would be great. Thanks!

get an apc 40 for that purpaose, or use the nocturn as normal midi controlor, but than you will have no automap at all..it just doesnt work...triggering clips i mean..

use it as usual midi controller..read the manual for that and just asign the controllers like on every other controller..
