argh... 2.) is my soundcard... this sucks!
@zork i need the midiconnection to restet the O/S of the midicontroller. i dont know why novation didnt make it possible to reset/reinstall the O/S via usb.
so any suggestion for this midi shitty cable issue?
novation didnt response until now, what a crappy *******

lol thanks for searching, but i told you, automat do not recognize the sl mk2.
that means i cant do step 3/. Select the relevant device.
and go on xD
my options now are:
-wait for novation response
-contact thomann.de (where i bought it)
-buy a new soundcard with real midi^^
-contact thomann.de and ask them about the midi slot at my soundcard and try to get a addapter or something

it worked well for the update- thanks, but i read, if you wanna use it for musicproduction, you allways will have a little delay... but that where just the reviews of the cable i bought from amazon...

They usually answer. Anyway, I wonder how you failed to update OS through USB - I have a Remote Zero and I updated it about a million times - no errors.

even i got a 25sl mkii , works like a gem , no problems at all, updated to automap 3.5 the day i got it, works perprect , you can download the control map all the major vst's filke spectrasonics omnisphere, trilogy etc direct from the site

,under automap mappings, where the automap immediately gives you direct control over all the major function on the vst direct to your knobs and pads on ur controller,here is video tutorial for cubase http://www.novationmusic.com/support/tutorials/sl_mkii/using_automap_to_control_cubase_with_a_sl_mkii
after registering your product do stay in touch with the community there on the site and chk for updates regarding your product. the dude looks like he bought a mkii but dont know what to do with it , get to work! readup on how automap works, and see all tutorial video on it.it is a very productive and entertaining controller i love mine !
