allready have a virus?
Nord can create various sounds very fast - i believe virus can too. Phat leads and squeky lfo sounds.

I believe nova is deeper in the pad and bass areas. Don't forget the nord doesn't have any fx onboard - not even eq

if u have a virus i'd get a nova.
and maybe later sell the virus and get a nord to see how it is.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

if the nords sound are closere to the virus's ( in fhatness and Lfos possib) to get a widere range of sound possibility maybe it would be smarter to go with the Nova ?            3ó BooOoM ShanKaRA 3ó

yes i do hehe. i had a Virus C and had much time to play with various novation synths, and now i hawe a nord 2x. clavia synths hawe an absolutely unique and recognizable character. it is very good for buzzing-electric sounds and parasense-like leads. pads are also not bad. but no good basses from it for shure. and the lack of fx is no problem just feed the output in the virus and use its fx. so i would choose a nord with the virus they will well supplement each other.

A friend of mine has got a Supernova II (silver one), Definitely the best FX and ARP section around, but ups...all sounds feel more or less the same to me. Different Osc tech by sure Nord leads are more for designers, you have to use External EQ´s, , effects, etc. but the raw material by itself (Osc section) definitely ROCKS!!!

I have both, and i think it's two different synths..it's good to have them both, because nova can do things that nord can't do,and nord has the best FM sounds, but it's not main sounds in Trance now.           Planet Ben Records

come on you nord freaks you all know that nova can do more things then the nord

nord is a great synth but nova is a work horse with a great sound and fx and cheaper
