Nova Novation and Cubase

Hi everyone. I wish ,if somebody know, how to put working the Nova Novation hardware synth in the Cubase, with the X-Station keyboard. For example, when I connect the Nova to the X-Station (by MIDI cables) and from the X-Station to the Cubase (by USB), but I canīt ear the sounds from the Nova when I press the keyboard, but the own sounds of the xstation I can work..somebody help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!!? |

Ok orange-atropa, but what iīve tried, was connect by MIDI the output of the Nova, which transmit to the input of the X-Station (it works as an interface too), and from the X-Station to the Computer (by USB)...it should work, right?but it doesnīt...someone help me please..And for example,for someone that have got three or more synthesizers, how they put them working at the same time?How the connections are made? |

my man i had novation nova, novation,ks5 novation supernova(i used to be a novation fun i admit!!) korg ms 2000, emu audity and a few more! and most of the time i had 2-3 at the time connected together!
SO!! i say again MIDI DOESNT SEND AUDIO SIGNLS ITS ONLY FOR DATA NOT AUDIO!
soo u must connect ur nova to your soundcard(x-station
) using its own audio outs and the connections go like this... nova audio out > x-station audio in and nova midi i/o > x-station midi i/o and x-station > pc by usb!
or just connect ur nova to a mixer using its audio outs and only use x-station to controle it by its midi !

Ah,and i knew that midi send only data, of course, what i forgot was to connect the audio outputs and inputs.. |

Atropa,please i need your help again, or by someone... Because the connections were made but still not working! Well,i gorgot to tell that i use the soundcard inside the PC. The connections I made (or that seems more logical) is: Nova Novation midi i/o to X-Station midi i/o and X-Station USB out to PC soundcard in! Or it should be by another way? Someone help....itīs getting frustating..i want to put Nova Novation working in Cubase through the X-Station.. |

here is how i would connect them all!
x-station through usb to ur pc
midi out from x-station to midi in nova
midi in from x-station to midi out nova
audio out from nova to audio in (or line in or x-station audio in) to your pc or mixer
BUT stop using ur pcs soundcard x-station soundcard is much better and has god asio drivers use that!!!!!

Hi..thanks really for the help..but still not working..the sound comes out, but the sequencer (cubase) doesnīt record them, I donīt know why!!!In spite of recording the sound from the Nova Novation, it records the sound from the X-Station (because itīs a synth too)...or by other words, the notes are written, but the sound doesnīt come from the Nova Novation as I pretend...Someone got more ideas pleaseeeee... |
