I've been checking all demos on Psyshop, but I can't say I heard some interesting stuff.
Is it just me or do you also think the same?
Or has it maybe got to do with the time of year?

Are you talking about this month right now? Or are you talking about the year to date so far? I hope it is the former, but I guess it depends on what you're into.

Try the AMD album.
Prometheus, like psytones said.
For progressive, try any Iboga comp.

VA-Japanhythm if you're into that kind of stuff.
VA-Slow Release (Open Recs) Mainly Aussie prog.
VA-Nuance (Iboga) Dunno if this is a 2007 release
VA_Twist Dreams (Suntrip)!!!!!!!!! Neo-Oldschool goa comp! Great!
Djones, maybe go to Saikosounds instead, they have 4 minute samples instead of psyshop's 45 second ones. Maybe you can hear more to like that way. You really can't judge a release from its previews.

Sure it does, as long as you're only looking for psytrance

It's just like everything else. You have to look long and hard to find the gems that stand out. This is an 06 release but my favorite album recently is Slackbaba - and the beat goes om
Check it out some nice downtempo with some funky timings. He's a great sound designer.
One of the few artists lately that's creating his own style. |
