not enough asio channels...?

hello people and happy new year!
i have an issue... ive formated and setup my pc for the new year all went great exept 1 problem after all was finished ive installed my phase x24 firewire audio card and all looked fine but none of my audio apps (flstudio,wavelab,cubase)worked when i was selecting the terratec asio it was giving me this error message 'there are no asio channels at least 2 asio channels are needed' wtf!!?? ive tryed everything and nothing worked windows seemed to find the card but didnt work it what could do this problem?
iff anybody has experienced this issue please help!!

did you go from xp with lower service pack number (or none) to xp with service pack 2 for example? then it might be a driver issue and a new audio card driver could solve it (sorry if this does not help)

Service pack 2 screws up everything, i work in a mdigital audio shop and i see these problems every day avoid SP2 |

Yep, although I'm not an expert on the subject and just a user like many people, I think it's rather firewire instability than sp2. I had a m-audio fw ap and it disconnected continuosly on xp sp1 as on sp2. Also thought it would be sp2 that was the source of problems. But I now have a phase 28 ( I assume the drivers should be about equal) pci card and I have no problems at all (now running on sp2). |
