I ripped some original CDs into WAV, so I can burn a CD with only 145 BPM Tracks.
I'm going to burn it with Nero Express software.

There's an option "Normalize all audio files". I think it's about putting all files at the same volume.

Can you experts please explain me if I should do it or not, and what happens when I do it?
Thank you.

you will take up/down the volume.
not allways good as if you got tracks with noise it will also normalize the noise---so need to check the % of normalize that you make...           Check out my music page - free music , new style and more :)

Normalizing should not be neccessary on mastered material.

Normalising finds the loudest peak and adjust so that the level makes the peak to be at desired volume.

Most masters is peaking at -0.1 - 0.2 Db so changeing it is pointless and will just mess around with your bits.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

OK, thanks!

That's what I imagined, since the files are all high quality .WAV ripped from originals... Changing them could only make them worse (In My Dumb Opinion ).
But I had to ask...

Yes it can make them sound worse, especially the nero burn built in normalizing. I used it sometime ago for burning one of my tracks for listening at my stereo and tried the normalizing and it sounds not that good.            Signature
