None. They're over-used. If you really want one of them, get the modular of course. Assuming you're new in this, it might be too difficult for you in the beginning, but you'll manage.

For the Modular you'll need a good computer, a Midiman (midi card - 2 in 2 out) but if you are only starting to make music so you better start with something more friendly - Nord Modolar is a synteza school but its high school. hope i could tip you some... check those two synths for some time before you buy them...! Over-used means people use(d) it too much in tracks. And I guess you should get the Access Virus.

i think there is no equipment, what is over used...
if you want to buy a nordlead product, then buy for sure the modular, as psytom mentioned. you can do more or less everything you want to do.
btw you cannot compare a modular with ie virus. virus for sure is a great synth! but its not the same like a modular. a modular is a programmable polyphonic synth. you can create your own synth architecture what is not possible in the nordlead kb or access virus kb.
as said... if you are a beginner and just want to change the knobs / faders etc. to get nice sound buy a synth kb (i recommend virus).
cheers pj |

Clavia products are more costy than Access, so even if you're not a newbie, but want a decent sound + less money - Virus is the answer. there's many great synths out: Super Novas, Nord Modular etc., but Virus B is the best compromise performance<==>money for now. [of course, I.M.H.O.] |

The NordLead 2 has a great quality of sound! And I'm not speaking of the NordLead 3 - the greatest sound ever! |

"Virus B is the best _compromise_ performance<==>money for now"
means it is cheaper.
i haven't said "Nord is worse" Nord is more expensive.

I bought my nord and was a very happy man since then.
a very good buy that was. I guess the Virus sounds different from the nord as I heard it and it depends on what sound you really want to be 'friendly' with. don't you want to test both of them? just to know - for fun also?
imho, Nord pisses on the virus, but, I would want to get the Indigo also - a different sound.
