go for the jp8080 if you're basing your studio on that synth (which you can btw). |

if you're into presets - go for JP cause it's presets are newer :)))))) but if you're into synthesis of your own Sounds - try them both, and see which you understand better, or which fits you better. [i'd go for nord]
"nord is overused" , "virus is overused", "Q overused" - all this is true only for the presets....if presets were outlawed, these synths wouldn't compete at all.

I think the JP-8000 is a very soft synth! Go for the Nord:) |

Soft sounds don't make a soft track. :)

nord etc over used.... i think this is just cause so many people want to sound like infected and all the other artists who use the nord basically copy their sounds and efx and synth lines and they sound all the same..... music is in the hands of the artists, they should learn the the nord more try it with other efx racks and processors to futher enhance it's power make their own blend of psy trance not just what the norm is.... 8D |

hey hikari!
can definately recommend the JP 8000! -tis the only hardware synth in my studio, and ive never regretted the purchase! especially after sharing a studio with a friend who has the nord lead,... hehehe, i never touched it... the JP just has SO many possibilities, the feedback oscillator rocks! -so too the cross modulation function, great filters, tidy bottom end... :D if u got the extra cash tho, go for the 8080 - external inputs, vocoder...
have fun!

just go get both, a triton, and maybe a supernova, micromoog and an sh101.
you'll have your bases covered then :) |
