hey there,

you might have a look for "hands on synthsound", a great tutorial series. the guy explains from the very beginning of basic synthesizing and what sound is, to synthesis in every of its details in many differed chapters.

i loved that one, cause the guy explains mostly using the g2 patch editor software. and i have to agree, even if its not looking that nice, its very logic, one time learned easy to use, and very pleasing to learn with.

you got a great synth there, master it and you will have no problem with any other synth or recreating any sound you might think of....

its a modular synth, thus you have to build your synth first in a patch with the patch editor. load that synthpatch to your hardware and hit the keys...

you are able to recreate most synths out there with that machine, at least in its digital build up. the "bad" is you have to know how a synth is build.

i dont know about patches, cause i use to write my own. and my advice really is to learn how you use that great machine.

so..... to get things going i uploaded some very simple patches i made i dont have the hardware, but as i know one day that great mama will join my side, i already use that patching software a lot for my own fun of it. theres not a lot i know in comparison, so ... i simply love that babe ^^

feel free to ask if you dont understand whats going on there in the patches.

have fun with it. if you got it, iŽd recommend to read around here how simple psysounds are made. ie. 303 acid stuff, squelchy pulse sounds, simple saw bass etc.

i made the patches in lets say 15min. now right ago so dont expect too much of it, as i thought youŽre just beginning. theres no special psysound now in there, just stuff to get you started and giving you an idea how your machine is working.

the patch incl. the click triggered sequencer should give you and idea of how to go on for special sounds, sequences etc. the fm patch is pretty much the same and should only give an idea how simple fm modulation can change the sound drastically.

okay bro. getting kind of a novel here, long term short sense xD congratz to your goldy! have fun with it

cheers: stephan
